Craft Silent Auction Results and the crafts...

Our Craft Silent Auction and Bake Sale for our Church Building Fundraiser was last week Wed. - Fr. We were there before and after school with Bake Sale.

I was very very impressed with our Bake sale. First day we sold $57 worth of baked goods. At the end of our second day I counted it and we were at $377. That includes the $57 from the first day and about $100 from other little things non baked goods that is $220 that we made only from baked goods the second day. WOW! Our third day we were over $500. It was just AMAZING!

Our auction was awesome. We had ladies that made some really cool things. One lady did 8 hand made very nice, bright colored aprons, 3 full size and 5 half. Another friend altered a tin and made 30 different cards to go with it. Another one made bunch of jewelry, hair bows and put bunch of baskets together. We had teacher gift baskets, family movie night basket with 2 DVD's, popcorn, candy and chips and a $10 gift card to Block Buster. All together we had 37 different items.

My friend Ivy made an awesome tutu hair bow organizer. We had ladies going crazy over that. It was beautiful. Ivy also donated us some wooden letters that said "family" I altered them and people loved those as well.

We had only about 2 weeks to put it all together and it turned out really really awesome. But it was possible only with God's help. He knows all the late nights that I had and the frustrations that go along with getting something like that organized. He got me through those days, days with only 2 hours of sleep and people calling and canceling on baked goods and so on and on. But He provided everything that was needed. I learned so much during those two weeks. Even though I was so tired by the end it was all so worth it and it was good for my soul!!!!!

So all together we made about $1,400 (around) so far, still some things pending... We did end up having couple of things left. One of the parents from school donated us bunch of Mary Kay stuff and we have couple of those things still left. But other then that everything is gone. We are very very very HAPPY with the number.... Did not expect that at all!!! But God did it...

I wish I could explain you all how exciting it was to see parents of the school get excited about the auction and bake sale. Parents started bringing us baked goods in the mornings and then after school. People shared how blessed they feel by this school and how happy they are with it and that it's been a blessing to have their child in that school. Our school is a Private Christian School. It was just amazing!!!! God has taught me so much in these past couple of weeks. He has showed me so much and touched my heart in so many ways. I can't even explain it all.

This one was a baby bath basket. The towels were made by one of my friend's sister. Her sister also did the Aloha quilts.



Teachers Basket. Full of fun stuff for a teacher. Altered clip board, teacher jewelery, wooden apple pencil holder, pencils, candle and more.

Happy Mothers Day Everyone!!!!

I hope that you all gave your mom a HUG and if she's not near you like my mom is I hope that you gave her a call and told her that you love her!!!!!!

I hope that you got LOTS of HUGS and KISSES from your husbands and kids, family members and friends!!!! I sure did! :)

We had a wonderful Church service today. Even though I was teaching our Junior Church today I heard a lot of good things about the service from other ladies.

We had a very good Mothers Day lunch at Church after the service. Our husbands served us... :) So sweet!!!!

Now we are resting. The girls are napping and I'm here.

Finally things are some what slowing down....

around here....

I got couple of e-mails asking where I was at... :) Thanks ladies for wondering...

I've been so busy these couple of month with all kinds of things!!! But they are all fun!!!! :)

I'm hoping that I'll have more time to post about the things that have been happening. Some very exciting things. A lot of projects around the house have been happening and I got to do a lot of craft type projects for our Church. So I'm hoping to have some time this week and share some of those things with you all.

So for now I'm just letting you all know that I'm here... :) just doing things in the real world!!!! hee hee

I haven't posted an update in so long... I've been really busy last month! Lots of things doing and working and so on and on. April should be so much better. Hopefully... :)

Wanted to wish Everyone a Blessed Easter! Take time to spend with your family and your Church family to remember what Easter is all about!

I'm so glad to have a savior like Jesus that came to die and rise on the third day so I could go to haven!!!!!! He is an AWESOME God!!!! :)

Well it's about time!!! Finally!!!

TARGET is HERE!!!!

It's here HERE in HAWAII!!!! About time too!!!! Took long enough... LOL

Here is what I got on our door yesterday after I came home from WalMart....




Woohoo!!! The Grand Opening is this Sunday but their doors were open yesterday!

The news said that they had over 2000 people there!! WOW!!!

I want to go too, but I don't want to get run over....

When mail came we also got our first Target advertisement thingy...



I just want to go and be in a TARGET!!!!! hee hee Hopefully I'll get to do that tomorrow with a friend!!!

What have you found under the cushions of your couch/chair?

One day last week my parents went to the beach. Both of the older girls were in school. Dh at work. I was home with baby Sara and the boy I'm babysitting. So I put a movie on for us. "Lassie"... Love that movie... a very good movie.. I cry every time I watch it. Leda did join us later once she got dropped off from school.

As we were sitting there watching our movie Sara had some toys that she was playing on the rocking chair. She was playing with her toys so cute. Then I hear "Mommy!!!! Ewwwwwwwwweeeee!!!!" and she's pointing at what ever she found under the cushion of the rocking chair. It was cute at first, her face was kind of squished... LOL:)

When I looked at what it was that she was pointing at I even said Ewwwwwwwwwweee.... LOL:) There was a squished banana there. And I'm sure that she was the one to put it there in the first place... But non the less, it was there and been there probably for couple of days now. It was grows... So I had to clean that up and I hate cleaning squished bananas.... Yuck!!!

I have found all kinds of things under our couch cushions and such.... buttons, cookie crumbs, toys, keys even when they are not in right place... But never have I found a squished banana until that day.

So what kind of things have you found under your couch cushions?

that I need to start posting more of my work here... LOL:)

I have bunch of stuff that I did this year already... more altering and other craft projects and such. I do need to scrapbook so I can post layouts too. Haven't done that sense about Nov. of last year.

I just need to take the time to take nice pictures of the stuff and post them here....

Schools in Hawaii closed due to the weather on Friday the 16th....

Now that is something you don't hear a lot over here. :)

A big storm is coming our way. I guess I need to watch the news more, didn't know anything about this storm till Katherine's teacher called and said that the school for tomorrow was canceled due to the weather.

I have to say that I laughed out loud when she said that as I was driving down in Honolulu to get dh from work and it was nice and sunny and hut out. LOL:)

We don't get much days off from school due to weather, actually we don't get any at all. It'll be nice to have a 4 day weekend. Specially sense it's my birthday tomorrow and Katherine's on Saturday.. :) We'll have to do something now that we have a day off from school.

Hopefully it's not going to be as big as it sounds and our power will not go out. We'd had couple of storms this winter already and there's been a lot of flooding as well. Hopefully this time around it's not going to be that bad.

I'm so excited!!!

My sister is going to be here for Christmas with her husband. Another sister is going to be here right before Christmas. Can't wait to see them!!! :)
