Couple of layouts that I did over the weekend...

I got to sit down over the weekend and do couple layouts.

I really like how this layout turned out. To tell you the truth I have the hardest time working on kitchen and pet layouts. Do you have any theme that is hard for you to scrap?

Used... Oh boy... I used all kinds of things.... paper of course, brads, stickers, chalk, scrappers floss and cricut to cut the titles. Stamped - cartridge.

This first one is of my little brother and my mom making some Russian/Ukrainian traditional food. Called pelmeni. YUMMMMMM!!!!!! They are the most awesomest food ever!!!! LOL:)
If you haven't tried any you must! The best are home made.

Here is a great blog that tells you how to make them if you want to try them out. Pelmeni...
If you happen to make them, be sure to come back here and let me know if you liked them or not... I'd LOVE to know... :)

(sorry the pictures aren't all that great).

Some up close.

Second layout is of Katherine making funny faces. The circle faces were racked to me for hosting a swap by "busyizzi" some time back. I finally used them. Thanks so much "busyizzi" they were perfect for this layout. :) Some cheapboard stickers and scrappers floss.

up close.

I haven't journaled yet. That is still on the to do list.

Thanks for looking,

Altered wooden box that I did for my mom....

I had a lot of fun doing this box. This one is smaller then the one I did for my self.

Mom wanted me to do it in yellow and blue, Ukrainian colors... :) So I did. Plus right now she LOVES yellow.

Used:
*Yellow acrylic paint.
*Cotton White StazOn
*ribbon.
*Clear Gem Stickers by Martha Stewart (found these in the wedding and cake decorating section at WalMart)
*Prima flowers
*other gems
*CTMH Treasure life stamp set for the flowers, leafs on the box and the words on the lid.

Here are some pictures.

Mom's name in English means "Faith" so I picked up some charms that has "faith" on them and added to the box.

Close up of the flower on the lid. This flower stamp came from Hero Arts. I added some jewels to the middle of the flowers.

Mom LOVED her box.. :) and I'm so glad that I had time to do it for her before she left back home.

Thanks for looking and hopefully this will give you some ideas for your altering projects! :)

My altered button, chipbaord, brads and other fun things organizer!!!

I absolutely LOVE this box... :) When I saw it all kinds of ideas of how to alter it went through my head at the store. I've seen so many ways to organize your chipboard letters, shapes and buttons and other fun things. I just had to get this box at our local Ben Franklin craft store. They have some really awesome boxes. So if you have one of these stores near you go check what they have.

Used:
*Nutmeg Brown Acrylic Paint to paint the box inside and outside.
*K&Company Specialty Paper
*Mod Podge
*two colors of ribbon.
*Jeweled flowers by Flora Doodles
*CTMH Playful Flourishes stamp set.
*Cotton White StazOn
*Clear Gem Stickers by Martha Stewart (found these in the wedding and cake decorating section at WalMart)

This is what the box looked like when I got it. As you can see I already started painting it.

All painted.

And after it was all done.

I have buttons and some charms in there right now.

Up close shots of the lid.

I also found a smaller version of this box at the same store right before my mom left so I altered it for her. It turned out really cute. I'll post pictures of it later tonight.

Thanks for looking!!!! Hope you enjoyed it!

Altered wooden box for crayons...

I've been altering practically anything and everything I see in the house... LOL:) You can say that I'm on a spree for altering things right now. But oh it's so much fun!!!!! :)

This is a box that I did for the girls to keep their crayons in. Our old box was getting really well... just old... I saw and idea at 2peace for a crayon box and I loved it. So I went to our local Ben Franklin and picked up this 4x6 or 6x4 wooden box with a lid... and it was only $3.99 so that was cool. :)

I used my cricut to cut out all kinds of images and the word "Crayons". I used Doodlecharms and Plantin SchoolBook cartridges.

Lots of all kinds of papers. White jell looking pen, some chalk and buttons... I love buttons right now. :) They are so adorable!!!!

So any ways, here are some pictures of my box... :)

Make sure to come back... I'll be posting more fun things soon.. :)

Thanks for looking!
