I used one of my white pens, and I can't find it at the moment to let you know what brand it is... it's somewhere under the pile of stuff on my table. Sorry!<br /><br />I really like how this card came out though. I saw a tutorial at <a href="http://studiocalico.blogspot.com/">Studio Calico</a> for these flowers. Here is a link for the tutorial.... <a href="http://studiocalico.blogspot.com/2010/02/paper-roses-tutorial.html">HERE!!!!</a> Give them a try, they are so fun and easy to make. When I saw the tutorial I had to make them so that's where the card came from. I used Inkadinkado <a href="http://www.scrapbookneeds.com/inkadinkadofloralflourishesclearstampset.aspx">"Floral Flourishes"</a> clear stamp set and CTMH <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Happy-Birthday-CTMH-set-of-acrylic-rubber-stamps-NEW_W0QQitemZ110501903716QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19ba6d3d64">"Happy Birthday"</a> stamp set. After I stamped the floral images I went over with my white pen in several spots just to add little extra touches. I also did some white stitching around the card.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08553-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 304px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08553-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Used some buttons in the centers of the flowers and chalked the edges of the flowers. For one of the flowers I used my scalloped decorative scissors. I like how that one turned out... (it's the smallest flower if you can't tell) very cute. :) Oh and I also embossed "Happy Birthday" with clear embossing powder.<br /><br /> <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08554-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 317px; height: 267px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08554-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Let me know what you think of this card and the flowers!! :) Don't forget to check out <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">Practical Scrappers</a> and all of the awesome talent over there!!!! If you need more ideas on how to use a white pen head over the <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">PS</a>!!! <br /><br />Let me know if you get a chance to play with the flowers. I would LOVE to see your project using them!!!<br /><br />Have fun and HUGS!!!<br />NadyaNadya 's World!!!http://www.blogger.com/profile/18289453340048987910noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4056149174318106625.post-38065601573377503062010-03-08T14:05:00.002-10:002010-03-08T14:25:22.812-10:00Just another card to share.... :)Hope you all are having a good Monday.<br />I did this card couple of weeks ago just haven't shared it with you all yet. So I thought I'd do that today. <br /><h3 class="post-title entry-title"> </h3> <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08555-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 476px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08555-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I used Lyrical Letters cartridge to cut the flower out then I went over with some silver ink/chalk from Colorbox and added some pink gems at the end. <br />Again I used my "for now" favorite stamp set by American Crafts "Sentiments" from the small set.<br />Some autumn Leaves "Swirls" stamps.<br />Cardstock.<br />I also did a technique that Jennifer McGuire shared in one of her videos on how to do a banner. I love her videos. She explains things so well. Here is a <a href="http://jennifermcguireink.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/12/hero-arts-blog-hop-video-prize.html">LINK</a> to the video where she shares how to make that banner. <br />Zing embossing powder.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08605-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 533px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08605-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Thanks for visiting me today!!! :)<br />Have a wonderful week!<br /><br />HUGS,<br />NadyaNadya 's World!!!http://www.blogger.com/profile/18289453340048987910noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4056149174318106625.post-43678325918137774792010-03-05T13:00:00.001-10:002010-03-05T13:00:00.659-10:00"Thinking of you" card with chalk technique....Hello everyone!<br />I hope you all are having a great weekend. :)<br /><br />I wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate your comments! Thank you for your sweet and heart felt complements!!! They truly mean a lot to me!!! So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! <br /><br />This is a card that I made for my so very talented friend Kim from <a href="http://memoriesinthyme.blogspot.com/">Memories In Thyme... </a><br />She asked how I did the flower from my "Wish" card you can see it<a href="http://myworldnadya.blogspot.com/2010/02/wish-card-poppy-seed-challenge-poppy.html"> HERE</a>... Sorry Kim, I don't have a link to a video or any other tutorial, this is kind of something that I've seen or read while checking out blogs. Don't really have an actually link... :)<br /><br />But this technique is so easy to make. There's also several ways that you can do this. For the "Wish" card I stamped with embossing ink on white card and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I jut took my SU blending pen, got some chalk on it and colored the flowers like I would with a brush. That gave me a water coloring look. :)<br /><br />Now for this card that I'm going to show you today I stamped on brown cardstock with embossing ink and embossed it with Zing "Brown Sugar" embossing powder.<br /><br />As you can see in the photo I just took that like sponge thing that came with my chalk pad and I just rubbed some red on the flowers. And that's it. :) <br /><br />Kim, I hope this helps!!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08607_edited.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 218px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08607_edited.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />And here is the finished card! It would have looked just as fine with out the chalk on the flowers. But I like how the chalk adds just a little something extra to the card.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08611-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 401px; height: 300px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08611-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />And up close!! :) as you can see there's not a lot of chalk on there... so don't worry how much you use. The main thing is to have FUN!!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08613-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 401px; height: 300px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08613-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Stamps used:<br />CTMH "Happiness" and "For Every Occasion" stamp sets.<br /><br />Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!!! :) Hope you'll give this technique a try, it's so much FUN!!!<br /><br />HUGS!<br />Nadya :)Nadya 's World!!!http://www.blogger.com/profile/18289453340048987910noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4056149174318106625.post-88695924003101296722010-03-04T18:31:00.004-10:002010-03-04T22:53:24.362-10:00Ready for some sunshine yet?Did couple more cards this past week so I thought I'd share them with you all. We had a Dr. appointment for the baby yesterday and all is well.. woohoo!!! :) Just 6 more weeks till this little guy is done baking!! :) Woohoo!!!! I am so ready!<br /><br />This is the card that I did for <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">Practical Scrappers</a> this week. Our challenge was to use chalk/ink this week. Chalk is something that I haven't played with a lot but really love how it looks, the soft look it has. For this card I used my Alphacolor Square Pastels (chalk crayons). I've had this set for a long time just haven't used it on my cards before. I used three colors blue, green and yellow. I started of with a 2 1/2 by 3 3/4 peace of white card stock and simple added little at a time some chalk with a sponge. That gave me a back ground for the flowers. I also added some brown chalk around the edges of the blue printed paper.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08561-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 472px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08561-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Used:<br />Several different cardstock.<br />ColorBox "Rose Coral" and "Maroon" chalk.<br />Pamass Pigment Ink pad "Green".<br />CTMH "Happiness" stamp set.<br />CMTH "For Every Occasion" stamp set.<br />Martha Stewart yellow ribbon.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08563-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 360px; height: 477px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08563-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!! Poppy Seed Challenge - Poppy Paperie.....Lisa at <a href="http://poppypaperie.typepad.com/poppy_paperie/2010/02/poppy-seed-challenge.html">Poppy Paperie</a> has started doing challenges at her blog. She posted her first challenge yesterday and you have a week to work on it and then link it to her blog. :)<br /><br />Here is the challenge. For more details you can go to Lisa's blog, <a href="http://poppypaperie.typepad.com/poppy_paperie/2010/02/poppy-seed-challenge.html">Poppy Paperie</a>.<br /><br /><img src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/BRANDA%7E1/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-5.jpg" alt="" /><img alt="http://poppypaperie.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c585053ef012877af8a7a970c-800wi" src="http://poppypaperie.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c585053ef012877af8a7a970c-800wi" /><br /><br />Here is the card that I did. I'm playing with some new stamps this week that I'm borrowing from one of my sisters. :) Thanks Masha for letting me borrow your stamps! :)<br /><br />I wanted to play with some chalk and do some water coloring type thing. I embossed my flowers with clear sparkle embossing powder. Then I used my SU blending pen and some chalk crayons that I have. The flowers didn't come out as clear as I hoped but that's OK. I'm still learning, right... :) At list they looked like they are water colored... at list I think so.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08558-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 306px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08558-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Stamps used:<br />CMTH "Happiness"<br />CMTH "Card Commentary"<br />Cardstock<br />Crystals<br />Chalk crayons<br />SU blending pen.<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by my blog today... Stamping is something that I started doing about 2 years ago. And I LOVE STAMPS!!!! :) Specially the clear stamps. I do have some wooden once but the clear stamps what got me in too even trying stamping.<br /><br />There's so many ways that you can use stamps. And this week you'll definitely see many of those ways used in projects over at <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">PS</a> so head over there and check out all of the work that the Design Team did this week.<br /><br />I love using my stamps for creating my own back ground paper. There's many times when I can't find just the right kind of printed paper for a layout or a card. What I love about clear stamps is that you can take more then one image and put them on your block and have 4 - 5 (or more) different stamps at the same time to stamp your images. No need to do one at a time. How awesome is that?<br /><br />So for this week that is exactly what I did. I stamped several solid colored cardstock and stamped them with my stamps and cut different shapes out using my cricut. Then I used that on my layout and card for this weeks challenge.<br /><br />I love how this layout turned out. I used several of CTMH stamps to stamp the green back ground on the white solid cardstock. I also used my alpha stamps to do my title. All of the shapes have stamped images on them as well.<br /><br />This layout was also done for <a href="http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/2010/02/sketch-91.html">Creative Scrappers</a> Sketch #91 by: Kristine Davidson... You can see the sketch over at <a href="http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/2010/02/sketch-91.html">Creative Scrappers</a> blog......<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08538-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 395px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08538-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />On the card the blue/gray shape has stamped swirls on it for a background.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08537-1.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 401px; height: 300px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Cards/DSC08537-1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I started by stamping swirls on my cardstock.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08531.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 401px; height: 300px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08531.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />and this one is all done.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08532.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 399px; height: 298px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08532.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I then used several of the cricut cartridges:<br />Beyond Birthdays<br />Lyrical Letters<br />Accent Essentials<br />Plantin Schoolbook<br /><br />and cut all of these shapes out and used them on the layout and card.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08534.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 299px;" src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d111/NadyaFitz-Henry/Layouts/DSC08534.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Up close of some of the elements on the layout.... It's just something that we never did, well he did get flowers for me one year and that was really sweet it's just something that we don't make a point of doing. But this year after looking at all the wonderful cards and projects that other paper crafters did I decided to make a card for my husband just to let him know how much I love him and what a wonderful husband and daddy he is. The Lord really blessed me with a wonderful husband!!!! :)<br /><br />This is what I came up with!!! This year Valentines day was on a Sunday and I come home before my husband from Church, he drives the buss for our Church Buss Ministry so he comes home little later. At <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">PS </a>we always try to find new ways to use thing. And there's so many ways to do flowers the DT there has worked really hard this week. Go to the <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">PS</a> blog and check out at all of the work.<br /><br />So happened that the week before I was searching for some fun scrapbooking/card making videos and I came across a video about crepe paper. The lady did some really cool things with it and I knew just what kind of flowers I wanted to do for this weeks challenge. Unfortunately I can't find that video for you all to see. But I'll look again and if I do find it I'll post it.<br /> I never thought about using party string for something like this before.<br /><br />I did 3 cards and used dark pink and blue crepe paper.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMtrjr8tl7k8Ya-z4CvyTV9vMyIEVjiEo8YerD0bTKLDDpUQG24P-ggjUhcwxQMHD4JFmXufD9lAZ9RCqabrgNR8dXIC24YFhVfeP4fYzB9jCfCP-1plcKvSXd8QGWCbxrCFyO3-sEKqCq/s1600-h/DSC08518.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMtrjr8tl7k8Ya-z4CvyTV9vMyIEVjiEo8YerD0bTKLDDpUQG24P-ggjUhcwxQMHD4JFmXufD9lAZ9RCqabrgNR8dXIC24YFhVfeP4fYzB9jCfCP-1plcKvSXd8QGWCbxrCFyO3-sEKqCq/s320/DSC08518.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310043150799762" border="0" /></a><br /><br />"Happy Birthday" is sentiment stamp from CTMH "Birthday sentiments" stamp set. For this card I used my shape scissors to cut lots of little circles then I used a small bard in the middle to hold them all in place and formed the shapes of each circle to make it look more 3D like flower.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxDHB97AS3lc1F0BPrwj_WRr47PtoUi4054JCIqyad9BtfZzBDayjDzb1hYmGFM7rzvoqax0D2ACKKBjKsbhq0fC_BNVjTKuSS47XJRoiToGxvzoh5GtKPjyiwEL4638ZWahL3MUCRHeUp/s1600-h/DSC08511.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 274px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxDHB97AS3lc1F0BPrwj_WRr47PtoUi4054JCIqyad9BtfZzBDayjDzb1hYmGFM7rzvoqax0D2ACKKBjKsbhq0fC_BNVjTKuSS47XJRoiToGxvzoh5GtKPjyiwEL4638ZWahL3MUCRHeUp/s320/DSC08511.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310016793907890" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYh-c4_LQFkSEw_NrcZ-AtYT6KZI4ZLxVQuaUexocD0jYs6ACDf93itTyTXepX7nbkPfCRlSnVTEeXHaKDvXJynbe29SW652R2_-lk1aQvPbAU8e3cJJvCTzrlIvnVdW5z0ox7_-NtzKFZ/s1600-h/DSC08514.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYh-c4_LQFkSEw_NrcZ-AtYT6KZI4ZLxVQuaUexocD0jYs6ACDf93itTyTXepX7nbkPfCRlSnVTEeXHaKDvXJynbe29SW652R2_-lk1aQvPbAU8e3cJJvCTzrlIvnVdW5z0ox7_-NtzKFZ/s320/DSC08514.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310030906501682" border="0" /></a><br /><br />"Baby Boy" card is being featured at <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">Practical Scrappers</a> this week. For this card I folded the crepe sting in 1/2 and then I gathered it with a thread and needle and it formed in too a flower. I attached a large brad in the middle to hold it together.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXpXyKhAlaeNRYO4DNCd0-kkp21BjWGT8edI0zSIv-6Xt0nZbmz69ER9ZmeJT0HmVUXmErGNGTBq5UQExzPc1Epz_vAQQ5CeRCrRyMa2vyXQz2aRbcBcL9jwFuiT7Z88WDSI4_NnF8jvus/s1600-h/DSC08507.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXpXyKhAlaeNRYO4DNCd0-kkp21BjWGT8edI0zSIv-6Xt0nZbmz69ER9ZmeJT0HmVUXmErGNGTBq5UQExzPc1Epz_vAQQ5CeRCrRyMa2vyXQz2aRbcBcL9jwFuiT7Z88WDSI4_NnF8jvus/s320/DSC08507.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310010385369474" border="0" /></a><br /><br />For the thrid card I did a technique<span style="font-style: italic;"></span><em></em><span style="font-style: italic;"> </span>that I've seen done with ribbon and other papers. It was so much fun. I did a little raffle at the bottom of the card.... Basically what I did is again fold the crepe string in 1/2 and gather it with needle and thread but not as tight as if you would be doing a flower (see above). Place a strip of adhesive on your card and start putting down your gathered crepe string. Pressing on too where the adhesive is at, you can see on the first photo the glare, that is my adhesive.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim-QzFW7zXsRi-Vr7km5QawB3kCwI-Um77xSD0IDep4HfOAHT-VzBT9fz2omNqVqG8CNzxqaC0RRB1eK0kiGUN5XagVoJ2fmuCC_1_kRQNBAO4wgKFX58K9dnr_6Edp8MP5AjQIanLvyTx/s1600-h/DSC08521.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim-QzFW7zXsRi-Vr7km5QawB3kCwI-Um77xSD0IDep4HfOAHT-VzBT9fz2omNqVqG8CNzxqaC0RRB1eK0kiGUN5XagVoJ2fmuCC_1_kRQNBAO4wgKFX58K9dnr_6Edp8MP5AjQIanLvyTx/s320/DSC08521.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310052542019554" border="0" /></a><br /><br />When you are all done this is what it should look like.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQfFhz6aiVwv0zNvR1hzDZxB0WzfDNiQErw1o7CmJryQp5VVKKjNr79qTBD9_9STuAoAL4H0Y8US9LLUoKuAF_yrVUhd5HuLwI3KThOuRwJHKkN96bFpyhLmIqjHlgEPNRTBNSuj5I9n2V/s1600-h/DSC08522.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQfFhz6aiVwv0zNvR1hzDZxB0WzfDNiQErw1o7CmJryQp5VVKKjNr79qTBD9_9STuAoAL4H0Y8US9LLUoKuAF_yrVUhd5HuLwI3KThOuRwJHKkN96bFpyhLmIqjHlgEPNRTBNSuj5I9n2V/s320/DSC08522.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439310640738286914" border="0" /></a><br /><br />When you are done with this part just start putting your card together. Playing with new things I've learned and another fun new stamp that I got at our craft store for a $1. :) I just had to get that pregnant lady stamp. It's so cute!!!! I colored it with some color pencils. And again used the "Sentiments" stamp set by Making Memories and some other stamps. Oh and I have I said how much I love playing with my heat embossing things, it's so much FUN... :)<br /><br />So anyways, here are the cards.... Plus I can get more of them done when they are simple to make... :)<br /><br />Here is the last set of cards that I did for our Ladies Fellowship last week Thursday. These are very simple and easy cards to do. I know, I know... :) I'm using this stamp set way too much. But I just love it. The images are beautiful and they stamp so nice and clear. But what a girl to do? When you get a new toy you just play with it as much as you can... well at list that's what I do.<br /><br />Used:<br />Stamp set by American Crafts "Sentiments" both large and small.<br />Cardstock and printed papers.<br />Brads.<br />CTMH "God Bless You" stamp set.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2gSks4X9HFgc0scV85VpTXPgYrdz5vyDZhrtGA_Mtjvo8hYDdUURO2Z3clAfj9XxVjykzDgwjYX9luvRqU8DwgyogaAp-Y6TcYCzxS6GsQ1VPJy5dKScrUEcNSDUQNAXNmjVNSaz9afU-/s1600-h/DSC08487_edited-1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2gSks4X9HFgc0scV85VpTXPgYrdz5vyDZhrtGA_Mtjvo8hYDdUURO2Z3clAfj9XxVjykzDgwjYX9luvRqU8DwgyogaAp-Y6TcYCzxS6GsQ1VPJy5dKScrUEcNSDUQNAXNmjVNSaz9afU-/s320/DSC08487_edited-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437075174275948818" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirCgfchd6xUgRBitv1q1OtOc-7tJJh6GK4MfWDKNOSwvMBugO_3UQ3hUexhyphenhyphenGEPEWs3QnPVB7a9828LT5M2dPlNzdtAR1cEtwxrzunBhAfjDJWvsIReTfZJllC-ngjrY620gcND8W5Pz3l/s1600-h/DSC08486-1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirCgfchd6xUgRBitv1q1OtOc-7tJJh6GK4MfWDKNOSwvMBugO_3UQ3hUexhyphenhyphenGEPEWs3QnPVB7a9828LT5M2dPlNzdtAR1cEtwxrzunBhAfjDJWvsIReTfZJllC-ngjrY620gcND8W5Pz3l/s320/DSC08486-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437075183123316482" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TOQ9k_Cpkt0R6DlWLCbh5t8TuzOqw9LnndKQxIQND4qPaAvLuFolA80inA2c-4zVQMwvw8GVil2S0M0CiCFsWPxIO6x-elVWSbu8jmDNZkwNotKD1DdekrW-tdgeZkyyd4C_oOD8p6OU/s1600-h/DSC08488_edited.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 246px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-TOQ9k_Cpkt0R6DlWLCbh5t8TuzOqw9LnndKQxIQND4qPaAvLuFolA80inA2c-4zVQMwvw8GVil2S0M0CiCFsWPxIO6x-elVWSbu8jmDNZkwNotKD1DdekrW-tdgeZkyyd4C_oOD8p6OU/s320/DSC08488_edited.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437075193690563346" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Thanks for visiting my blog today!!! :) Hope you enjoyed these simple cards!!<br /><br />HUGS!<br />NadyaNadya 's World!!!http://www.blogger.com/profile/18289453340048987910noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4056149174318106625.post-43617235921392396192010-02-10T16:08:00.004-10:002010-02-10T22:23:27.806-10:00"Laughter" and "Just Because"This week at <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">Practical Scrappers</a> our challenge was to use brads in our projects. I did a 12x12 layout and a card for my Wednesday submission. :)<br /><br />For the layout I used Basic Grey patterned paper for the back ground and other different kinds of patterned papers. Flowers and some Bo Bunny rob-ons. I used large size brads for the middle of the flowers as my flower centers. For the title I used Thickers ABC stickers. love how this layout turned out!!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1UYfh2QM6ZR0J-xjpgQGb3iELRMCRObLUfCOfJy0vaQ3AEyOo8o8f6o7zKSOFnVp6CkxDWBxKoZS2lFVxYPDn6p141xv1qgf_L3UC8A7fqWnk5i7cYsyqp5NIQMzIUVdLLmLDsGVu58ek/s1600-h/DSC08492.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 295px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1UYfh2QM6ZR0J-xjpgQGb3iELRMCRObLUfCOfJy0vaQ3AEyOo8o8f6o7zKSOFnVp6CkxDWBxKoZS2lFVxYPDn6p141xv1qgf_L3UC8A7fqWnk5i7cYsyqp5NIQMzIUVdLLmLDsGVu58ek/s320/DSC08492.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436804899256276370" border="0" /></a><br /><br />For the card I used one of my new and favorite stamp sets by American Crafts "Sentiments". I stamped the flowers 3 times in a row and used <span style="line-height: 115%;font-family:";font-size:12;" ><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">sugar coated</span></span></span> brads for the flowers. I used some patterned paper from my scraps bin so I don't even know what brand they are, sorry. I added some jewels in the middle of the chipboard butterfly and some ribbon and the card was done. I really how it turned out. It's so bright and colorful!!! :)<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixYPcCg-8jtrJkzeNRh8pF17YuRueg18v_qNbeqs8MuzppeA6MWnDDLY_bju0vy5k1_kETGdCKkJU7rgQRKU1fC8RWGW0AwxQIfwWvsq-iV9az7FdQC6V2tYgqwLo9M9kW77f894zWAjC1/s1600-h/DSC08500-1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 259px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixYPcCg-8jtrJkzeNRh8pF17YuRueg18v_qNbeqs8MuzppeA6MWnDDLY_bju0vy5k1_kETGdCKkJU7rgQRKU1fC8RWGW0AwxQIfwWvsq-iV9az7FdQC6V2tYgqwLo9M9kW77f894zWAjC1/s320/DSC08500-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436804908545218882" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I feel like my crafting mojo is coming back. :) About time too I say!!! :) I made 7 cards yesterday and thought I'd share couple of them with you today.<br /><br />I really enjoy making simple cards. I love the fancy cards but just don't have the patience to do that.<br /><br />We had Ladies Fellowship last night and I brought my supplies for us all to use. We worked on some cards that we can mail to our deployed soldiers, college students and some of the elderly people in our Church. Everyone had so much FUN! I did couple of examples for the ladies to look at. And this is what I came up with.<br /><br />On this card I used Kraft paper, brown cat's eye chalk, a die cute shape that I picked up at a scrapbook store. The flowers and the sentiment came from my new stamp set... I really LOVE this set, it has so many beautiful images. The stamp set is by American Crafts called "Sentiments" large and the last touch was some ribbon.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbX3HZcYsvEbSg0C3UO7lfhK2JPQYyfcploynZRmbM0hoJ1hm5CqNPE8Eqcyu3VFwP9kW8n5wW32DhK0DYAPSPlBEj2wyhoezqOGt2-p-iZqE6_VZ_V7Nsq_CEdRyU8HuH2jRxoDYuv2bg/s1600-h/DSC08490_edited-1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 262px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbX3HZcYsvEbSg0C3UO7lfhK2JPQYyfcploynZRmbM0hoJ1hm5CqNPE8Eqcyu3VFwP9kW8n5wW32DhK0DYAPSPlBEj2wyhoezqOGt2-p-iZqE6_VZ_V7Nsq_CEdRyU8HuH2jRxoDYuv2bg/s320/DSC08490_edited-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434855953563354994" border="0" /></a><br /><br />This card looks more elegant in person then on the picture. I had a really hard time taking pictures of these cards, the weather wasn't the best to do this.... I used Kraft and cranberry cardstock. Rusted look (kind of) brads, the sentiment came from American Crafts "Sentiment" stamp set. The flower/swirl image came from INKADINKADO called "Floral Flourishes" stamp set ... very cute set. I embossed it with American Crafts Zing embossing powder Brown Sugar.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgc2qLOO0zgLuagkGAkZ32l7feYisFyVGL8j8V1PBcK0tkrPS2WFRyP4pqgSaJczGnZhtTbCecewYBs4otG1ljRuXfRuQMMwj42L-UVmiiKkkBHuze02qvZKctRutxsNdnQBFeKabrTkH75/s1600-h/DSC08491_edited.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 250px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgc2qLOO0zgLuagkGAkZ32l7feYisFyVGL8j8V1PBcK0tkrPS2WFRyP4pqgSaJczGnZhtTbCecewYBs4otG1ljRuXfRuQMMwj42L-UVmiiKkkBHuze02qvZKctRutxsNdnQBFeKabrTkH75/s320/DSC08491_edited.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434855964831675474" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Not sure if you can see the leaves on this card. But I stamped some leaves on the white card stock before stamping "thinking of you" sentiment from CTMH "Rustic Flower" stamp set. Some cardstock and ribbon to finish off the card.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCcwjVSeGkSGBzmqx-hMlTfN2ysyKX5wEQKCCkNZ-YKn0CH8Xy2dGFmrDRoLwohYtk6JK3BwwW3FmKiO8oB5t_KagmZ8_PddC24QU6p1JG7hk90GMMzydZ9dKgMYHOlRVy9qvt65ApkNWp/s1600-h/DSC08489_edited-1.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 250px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCcwjVSeGkSGBzmqx-hMlTfN2ysyKX5wEQKCCkNZ-YKn0CH8Xy2dGFmrDRoLwohYtk6JK3BwwW3FmKiO8oB5t_KagmZ8_PddC24QU6p1JG7hk90GMMzydZ9dKgMYHOlRVy9qvt65ApkNWp/s320/DSC08489_edited-1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434855958767531122" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Again I used "Sentiments" stamp set by AC. Some buttons, brown and orange cardstock....<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihbdT8kvIy9dQjKFuhCk5QdmpXxWGs9Ko67eSMAkAg4j25OKj1ecV1pGteREXsE4owvLKUXZHXl1GfkHKD1xyulAvV4aKQ2BpwpQn8P_vGP-ve_nWdrmr5ex7srOAZPU1uHZbsG5oKyGVH/s1600-h/DSC08485_edited.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 254px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihbdT8kvIy9dQjKFuhCk5QdmpXxWGs9Ko67eSMAkAg4j25OKj1ecV1pGteREXsE4owvLKUXZHXl1GfkHKD1xyulAvV4aKQ2BpwpQn8P_vGP-ve_nWdrmr5ex7srOAZPU1uHZbsG5oKyGVH/s320/DSC08485_edited.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434855946067445330" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I hope you enjoyed these cards as much as I enjoyed working on them!!! :)<br /><br />Thanks for visiting my blog today!!!!<br /><br />HUGS!<br />Nadya :)Nadya 's World!!!http://www.blogger.com/profile/18289453340048987910noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4056149174318106625.post-2779583881434546832010-02-03T22:38:00.005-10:002010-02-03T22:57:10.837-10:00A gift bag for "MOM".....I've seen some of these paper goodie bags done in several blogs so I thought I'd give it a try. This week at <a href="http://www.practicalscrappers.com/">Practical Scrappers</a> we had to use any die cut machine we had. I of course I used my cricut expression... :)<br /><br />So here is what I came up with..... I really like the way it came out. All though I think I'll make the shape a smaller size. The size for this baggy I did 5" I'd go with 4 1/2 or 4 1/4, just little smaller.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYai4ezJTGVg8gZZE74tchh5l37RjmpFEbZEu_eGaRwRC5XPX_6oAzrH6U9JwETrmlANZotwR8An9Dzf7seWMxE8-GysD4B2p1WWGGR9F56gyTazghND17TIAFrDfwBPpdq36wHM8IjJ56/s1600-h/DSC08473.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYai4ezJTGVg8gZZE74tchh5l37RjmpFEbZEu_eGaRwRC5XPX_6oAzrH6U9JwETrmlANZotwR8An9Dzf7seWMxE8-GysD4B2p1WWGGR9F56gyTazghND17TIAFrDfwBPpdq36wHM8IjJ56/s320/DSC08473.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434307439573198898" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEttYJEBWt-4shbWCAOZAsRmSivCrOmNJffrgXBnUnoRajozGnyA2EL-ZpbrA1n5T8cUauJszr38Hi5AwHHfZgELsb7275BWzb4p7RXzkMww8y5t0cGqoyE6uIyhO4qk2FezJGMjO-pBZA/s1600-h/DSC08476.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEttYJEBWt-4shbWCAOZAsRmSivCrOmNJffrgXBnUnoRajozGnyA2EL-ZpbrA1n5T8cUauJszr38Hi5AwHHfZgELsb7275BWzb4p7RXzkMww8y5t0cGqoyE6uIyhO4qk2FezJGMjO-pBZA/s320/DSC08476.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434307446564876386" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I used Plantain Schoolbook cartridge for the basic shape and Beyond Birthday cartridge for the "MOM" that was cut at 1 1/2" size... but it can be cut bigger too... Oh, actually I did cut it bigger size I just used the wrong cut. I realized that I did that after I put it all together and took pictures. I went back to my table and a bigger piece was just sitting there.... Oh, well I can use it for something else.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWbG1QVtpC0EkcmR5ANU_JjKw-zr1bPUmIzR3kuOKbk1-CIjXXlMRDE22wrU-W9dJCLqgwqdjV8EJ9Oxjbtjz4T023BJGYzc7euvNBsiwXOFjwdyuLwDyH8OvGpjZesGCPwX5U3z015SU3/s1600-h/DSC08477.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWbG1QVtpC0EkcmR5ANU_JjKw-zr1bPUmIzR3kuOKbk1-CIjXXlMRDE22wrU-W9dJCLqgwqdjV8EJ9Oxjbtjz4T023BJGYzc7euvNBsiwXOFjwdyuLwDyH8OvGpjZesGCPwX5U3z015SU3/s320/DSC08477.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434307460130049474" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I covered the "MOM" cut with start dust stickles, let it dry very well before adhering it. I had some flower stickers (not sure what they are called). Some jewels in different places. Ribbon on top, and I added a cute butterfly on the ribbon.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcNqjRjQmHZH6PoWnr9tc7V5_EGZI20sxI7DcSiOtYLHY_iAUi6am0NAe1NFteegM8mOeDH2c_W1ZL8kbpnuPGha_cewND2xVdXc5YESeHzaMgHFIpUACxIahrjryf5R5H-LyTOgAJ-fCl/s1600-h/DSC08478.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcNqjRjQmHZH6PoWnr9tc7V5_EGZI20sxI7DcSiOtYLHY_iAUi6am0NAe1NFteegM8mOeDH2c_W1ZL8kbpnuPGha_cewND2xVdXc5YESeHzaMgHFIpUACxIahrjryf5R5H-LyTOgAJ-fCl/s320/DSC08478.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434307462135469106" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I know this is too early for Mothers Day... I can't find the time to sit down and do the things that I really want to do. I think being 6 1/2 months pregnant has something to do with that. :) A few more months, and we'll finally meet our first little guy. :)<br /><br />With that said, I've been wanting to update you all on how the auction went last month, so I'm finally doing it. There's so much that I'd like to say about it. So many blessings. I was so overwhelmed with all the help and donations that we got from friends and Church members. There's a lesson that I re-learn every time I do an event like this, and that is to trust the Lord with all your heart... He will always get things done!!!! And so He did!!!! I was very nervous that we were not going to have enough auction items, but literally 2 or 3 days before the auction, people brought so much that we had to make extra tickets! :) The Lord works on His own time, not ours!!! And by now, I should just trust Him and not worry. After the event, I was so amazed at how things turned out. I don't even know what words to use to express the way I feel.<br /><br />I just know that without Him, this event would have never happened. I am so thankful that I have an awesome God!!!!! We had 26 auction tickets, a bake sale and a lot of small gifts for people to buy on the spot. We made $1,321.00 and we had VERY, and I mean VERY few things left over. All proceeds are going towards our Church Building fund, and I'm so excited that I'll get to be part of our Church building!!!! I had people ask me if we were going to do this again, and people made suggestions about how to make it better next time, etc. I'm not sure if we'll have another one. If the Lords puts it in our hearts, we might. We'll see.<br /><br />Here are some pictures of the items that we had. They each cost me literally less then a $1 to make. The frames were $.39 to $.69 cents each on SALE! Awesome. The paper I had, the note pads (OK well with the note pads it was more then a $1, but still ) were I think $3 or $4 for a pack of 4. I made 10 small note pads and 10 larger note pads. I think the small one was 5x3, and the large one was 7x5 or something like that... not sure on the size, sorry ladies. Anyways, I used Gina K school stamps, and I just LOVE her stamps.
