The summer is here and it's time for Camp.....

Our oldest is old enough to go to camp now. WOW! The time has gone so fast.... I told her to stop growing but she just will not listen. :)

Katherine got to go to our Junior Camp from our Church last Wednesday through Friday. She was so excited. We packed her things Tuesday and she asked if she could sleep on the living room couch next to her bags... LOL :) it was like sleeping on the couch on Christmas Eve for her just couldn't wait to go to camp. I had to drop her off at the Church by 10am and on our way there she told us not to miss her too much and not to cry when she's gone. Too cute!!!!

Too bad I didn't get to go to camp with her so I could have some pictures to share with you all. I'll have to ask some of our friends for some pics. But I did take couple of pictures of her when we dropped her off and picked her back up on Friday.

Look at the pics what a difference in the pictures of the before and after camp...

Taking her bags out of our car.

group pic of her and her friends and one of our workers, a very good friend of ours.

Time to get bags in too the van... She is so EXCITED!!!!

And this is after Camp. Can you tell how tired she is? But she had so much FUN!

She did get sick though. Not sure what it was as she's still sick. I stayed home with her from our evening Church Serves today she's got a fever going and stuff.

Anyways, my baby is growing up and going to camps and such!!!!!! WOW!

Memory Game and altered wooden box...

I LOVE just LOVE these wooden boxes. They come in call kinds of sizes and I'm so ready to go and get the big one that has 2 layers to it with a glass on top and is BIG. I want to alter that one... hee hee :)

Anyways, our second daughter had a birthday party to go too this past Saturday. As you all read we had a really busy day that day.

The little girl turned 4 and I decided to do an Animal Memory Card game for her with an altered box.

I got the box from a craft store here on the island of course. Used cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge to cut the animals. Accent Essentials to get the scalloped squires for the cards and on the box it's self. CTMH stamps, don't have the stamp set in front of me to get the name of it. But it's the one with the animals on it... :) Buttons, flowers, jewels and some animal stickers for the sides on the box. Oh, I also laminated the cards, this way they will live longer.

The cards are 4x4 and the animals are (if I remember correctly) 2 1/2 or 3 inch size. I had 10 animals, 20 cards.

The little girl LOVED her gift and they played the game while they were still at the park where the party was at.

And here are some pictures.

The cards.

The box it's self. I painted it with pink paint as you can see. :)

The lid on the box. I forgot to take a picture of the back of the cards but on the back of the cards I had the same words stamped on "Life's a Jungle" with flowers from the same stamp set.

Lid more up close just because....

Sides and again sorry about the blurry pictures.

Again, Thanks for looking... :)

Card: Baby Shower invitation...

I got to play with Hello Kitty stuff this week... :) actually yesterday...

One of my friends is doing a baby shower for one of her friends and had asked me to do the invitations. The theme is Hello Kitty as the soon to be mom LOVES Hello Kitty stuff and the nursery apparently is all in Hello Kitty stuff.

So I had to go on a search of what I could use. I ended up getting sizzix textured embossing folders... I loved the folders, so cute. But I got stock on how do I make them cute? How do I decorate embossing images. I googled, asked around, did more googling and didn't really come up with anything that I liked.

I then went to my favorite scrapbook store on the island and they have this really really cute baby onesie shape card. So cut the number that I needed. Came home and ran in too yet another problem. How am I to emboss the Hello Kitty now on to the card? The folders don't fit right in the middle of the card and the card will not go through my sidekick. Grrrr...

Well, not all is lost... me and my friends (good to have friends around things like this) thought of an idea. I had ripped the folders apart and used my dough roller to help me emboss the image. Yup! My arms were very very tired after that. But I'm so glad that I had to do only 12 cards. We then used CM liquid pen thing and sprinkled some glitter, tap with a finger shake it off and we got a sparkly Hello Kitty on the baby Onesie. Used some other baby stamps, ribbon and scrappers floss.

They turned out so CUTE! I loved it.

So anyways, here are some pics for you all too look at...

This is the whole card.

Up close of the Kitty part.

Can you tell the embossing part of the Kitty?

The card opens this way.

Hope you liked my card!!!!

Recipe Album.

I am doing 3 recipe albums this summer for Bridal Showers. We have 4 weddings this summer in our Church. So much excitement. Can't wait to see the brides in their beautiful dresses... :)

Here is the first book that I finished. The bridal shower was this pass Saturday and it's the bridal shower that I did the invitations for that I posted about earlier.

I got the "Nana's Kitchen Stack" premium paper pack with glitter 8x8 size by DCWV from a craft store. It has 48 sheets that are filled with beautiful images and so much glitter. I was able to do 3o pages and still have 9 sheets left over that I'm planing on using in the other books.

Used:
I got this kitchen stamps set. Stickers from Creative Memories and other brands that I had.
It was a lot of fun to do and really fast. Almost all of the pages where already done from the paper pack. All I did was added the journaling box from CM that has the lines on both sides to use as recipe cards. And other left over scraps of papers.

Anyways, here are the pictures of the album. Sorry about not so great photos and hope you don't mined the number of photos... Hope you'll enjoy it and get some ideas for your next project.

What a weekend...

This past Saturday was the first time ever that every member of our family was at a different place at the same time. We had so much going on that day it was crazy.

My husband hand an activity with his Sunday School boys and some men from our Church. They played football and had pizza, that I was in charge of getting to them... :)

Our oldest daughter had a play date with bunch of her friends. This was kind of a going away play date for one of the girls. Her dad is in the military and their family is moving away. :(

Our second oldest had a Birthday party to go too.

Oldest daughter was from 9:30am till 5pm
Husbands activity from 10am till 1pm
Birthday Party 11am till 4pm.....

I was in charge of getting everyone to their activities and getting pizzas for lunch for my husband and his people.

Then at 2pm I had a Bridal Shower that I needed to be at. With our youngest not getting any sleep at all the whole day I sent her off to a friends house for a nap while I went to the Bridal shower. She brought our youngest to her home put her down for a nap while her husband and their kids were home and joined me at the bridal shower. I have AWESOME friends. :)

During that time my husband was also getting ready to go to work off island. He needed to be at the air port by 4pm I think. So this is where all 5 of us where at different places.

Oldest daughter was at the play date.
Second oldest at the Birthday party.
Youngest at a friends house napping.
Husband getting ready for airport
and I was at the bridal shower...

WOW! I'm tired all over again just from typing all of it out.

Oh, and husband got hurt too. His big tow on the left foot got hurt (lesson learned DO NOT PLAY FOOTBALL WITH OUT YOUR SHOES ON) and it's kind of swollen now and blue. I told him to go see a Dr. about it so we'll see what happens. I'm just praying that it's not broken because that would not be good at all.

Oh and here are some pictures... Just some from husband's and Leda's activities.

They boys eating pizza ... That's husband giving out pizza and youngest daughter asking for some hugs from him.

Youngest daughter playing in one of those blow up things at a Birthday party. They had the castle from the Diamond Castle from the Barbie movie. It was HUGE and awesome. All of the kids LOVED it. It was hut though, on the sun and the rubber... It took some time for Sara to get used to the jumping thing, she kept falling and falling and telling people to stop... LOL :) Sadly I didn't get any good pictures of Leda on this thing.

It was one HUT day. Oh, and I got sun burned... the joy of my life... LOL :) But we all had fun and the Lord blessed our day by having everything go well.

The kids were so tired that they had a really hard time getting up on Sunday morning for Church.

Card: Bridal Shower Invitation.

Here is the Bridal Shower Card Invitation that I did about a month ago now for a friend. I had to do 70 of these and the bridal shower it's self was today. And it was a lot of fun! The bride got some really really cute things... :) Makes me want to have a bridal shower of my own... LOL :)

Any ways, here is one of the cards that I did. They were all the same, just some slightly difference in the color of the paper.

Used:
CTMH stamps.
CTMH ink.
Cricut cartridges used LS, AE and Stamped.
Some swirl stickers from Target
Some jewels.
Ribbon
SU scalloped punch
Some chalk

I did have help with these. The brides sister and some of my friends came over to help. I originally had only 3 days to do these. But we found out the night that the date had to be moved for later and I could have had more time to do these.... But at list they were all done.

Here are some pictures.

This one was taken with out the flash.

With a flash.

A tag that came out of the pocket with more info on it.
