I can't believe how long it's been since I have posted here. So much has happened in our family and in my creative corner.

I came to tell you all that we have moved!!! You can now find us at here (www.fitzhenrydesigns.com) our very own web site that was designed by my awesome brother in law. We are so supper excited about our web site. There's going to be so much FUN things there. Make sure to come and check us out. With that said this blog will no longer be updated. I'll be posting all of my projects on our new web site. You can also find us at our Etsy shop or on facebook.... So please LIKE us there as well!!! :)

Hey everyone!!!!!!!!

WOW! Has it been over 4 month sense I last posted??? Really? WOW!

Oh my. The time sure has been flying by really fast. Our little guy is 4 month old now, school has started. We now have a 3rd grader and a kindergartner. WOW how fun!!!

What have you all been up too!!!

Oh I have so many FUN things to show you. I have so much news to share with you. I don't even know where to begin.

First thing first... I'm sure you can see that my blog got all messed up some how. Well, that's what happens when you don't blog, I guess. So I have asked my new and wonderful brother in law who is a web designer to help me with my blog. So stay tuned and this place will look like new... Hopefully soon!!! :)

Just wanted to get in touch with you all and let you know that I'm still around. Now that our school has started and we are getting adjusted to the new schedule I'll be more around sharing fun things that are and have been created in my craft are.... Well, the things that I can get out of my head, some things just stay there for EVER... :)

I also wanted to ask you all to pray for my dad. He had a heart attack this pass Friday, and had to have an open heart surgery where they replaced 5 of his valves. It was total shock to us all. Dad never had any heart problems before and all just happened so fast it was unreal. But we have an AWESOME GOD and He got dad and our family through the surgery and gave dad peace that he needed. Please pray for a fast and good recovery for our daddy!!!!

Happy Easter!!!!

Hey everyone!!!
Just taking some time to say Happy Easter to all of you! I hope you'll have a wonderful day tomorrow celebrating resurrection of Jesus Christ!!!! Spending some time with family and friends.

We had an awesome day today. We had 5 families at our house today for some egg hunt for the kids, good food and fellowship. It was so much fun to be around friends. The kids had way too much sugar... :) But at list they had fun! The ladies did an amazing job with the food..... everyone brought yummy food...

I'm doing good. Still here, no baby yet. But getting there. So hopefully it'll be soon!!!! And Yahoo mom is coming on Monday!!! :)

Oooo, feeling the baby hiccup right now... hee hee :) WOW! I think it's all those brownies... ha ha

Taking some time OFF!!!

We have 3 weeks till this little guy gets here... well I hope it's 3 weeks.. :) I'm so ready for it to be over. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant, I do. But I'm so ready for it to be done!!!

We still have things to get done before he gets here so I'm taking some time off. Hopefully I'll be able to have some time to do small project here and there and I'll share them with ya if I ever get to them. But for now I'm taking it easy and getting things ready for the baby to come. And I'm excited my mom is coming April 5th... woohoo!!!! :)

This week is our Spring Break so I'm going enjoy having all 3 girls at home with me. I might need some prayers... LOL :) but so far so good. God is good and it's been a good day so far.

"Easter" cards.....

It's time to make some Easter cards!!!!

It seems like everyone is doing spring/Easter cards. Well it is that time of the year after all. So I'm joining you all... :) There's so many cute cards out there. I wish I could show you all of them. There's just so much inspiration. One of the cards that I'm sharing with you is a card that I cased from one of the blogs that I follow. Laurie from Just Give Me Stamps is very talented, her cards are just beautiful... you can find the card that I cased HERE...

And here is my card... So what do you think???

I used dollar clear stamps from the Studio G.
Martha Steward ink.
SU scalloped punch.
CM 1 1/2 circle punch.

The second card I did is a simple card but I love how it turned out.

Scalloped decorative scissors... yeah, I really need to get some of those border punches... but until then I'm using my decorative scissors.. :)

Robotz Cricut Cartridge!!!!!!

WOW! WOW! This one is AWESOME! I haven't even seen this one before and I'm not even sure when it's coming out. But a friend just posted this information on one of the scrapbooking message boards that I'm part of and WOW I just love this one. I can see so many FUN party cards and banners done with this cartridge. How FUN!!! And now that I'm having a boy I can actually use this in my own personal scrapbooking... now that's exciting!!!

"Happy Birthday" card using white pen...

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to use a white pen/marker. I used one of my white pens, and I can't find it at the moment to let you know what brand it is... it's somewhere under the pile of stuff on my table. Sorry!

I really like how this card came out though. I saw a tutorial at Studio Calico for these flowers. Here is a link for the tutorial.... HERE!!!! Give them a try, they are so fun and easy to make. When I saw the tutorial I had to make them so that's where the card came from. I used Inkadinkado "Floral Flourishes" clear stamp set and CTMH "Happy Birthday" stamp set. After I stamped the floral images I went over with my white pen in several spots just to add little extra touches. I also did some white stitching around the card.

Used some buttons in the centers of the flowers and chalked the edges of the flowers. For one of the flowers I used my scalloped decorative scissors. I like how that one turned out... (it's the smallest flower if you can't tell) very cute. :) Oh and I also embossed "Happy Birthday" with clear embossing powder.

Just another card to share.... :)

Hope you all are having a good Monday.
I did this card couple of weeks ago just haven't shared it with you all yet. So I thought I'd do that today.

I used Lyrical Letters cartridge to cut the flower out then I went over with some silver ink/chalk from Colorbox and added some pink gems at the end.
Again I used my "for now" favorite stamp set by American Crafts "Sentiments" from the small set.
Some autumn Leaves "Swirls" stamps.
Cardstock.
I also did a technique that Jennifer McGuire shared in one of her videos on how to do a banner. I love her videos. She explains things so well. Here is a LINK to the video where she shares how to make that banner.
Zing embossing powder.

"Thinking of you" card with chalk technique....

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are having a great weekend. :)

I wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate your comments! Thank you for your sweet and heart felt complements!!! They truly mean a lot to me!!! So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

This is a card that I made for my so very talented friend Kim from Memories In Thyme...
She asked how I did the flower from my "Wish" card you can see it HERE... Sorry Kim, I don't have a link to a video or any other tutorial, this is kind of something that I've seen or read while checking out blogs. Don't really have an actually link... :)

But this technique is so easy to make. There's also several ways that you can do this. For the "Wish" card I stamped with embossing ink on white card and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I jut took my SU blending pen, got some chalk on it and colored the flowers like I would with a brush. That gave me a water coloring look. :)

Now for this card that I'm going to show you today I stamped on brown cardstock with embossing ink and embossed it with Zing "Brown Sugar" embossing powder.

As you can see in the photo I just took that like sponge thing that came with my chalk pad and I just rubbed some red on the flowers. And that's it. :)

Kim, I hope this helps!!!

And here is the finished card! It would have looked just as fine with out the chalk on the flowers. But I like how the chalk adds just a little something extra to the card.

And up close!! :) as you can see there's not a lot of chalk on there... so don't worry how much you use. The main thing is to have FUN!!!

Did couple more cards this past week so I thought I'd share them with you all. I know that people on mainland are so ready for some spring and sunshine!! :) All though we are in Hawaii and we don't get snow or too many gloomy days like you all do it does get cold for us here. I know you all are laughing at me right now "Cold in Hawaii?" yeah, for us it does get cold... :) I guess I'm just ready for summer already!!! So I did some Birthday cards using bright colors.

"Thanks" card using chalk...

Hey everyone!!!
I hope your having a great week so far. We had a Dr. appointment for the baby yesterday and all is well.. woohoo!!! :) Just 6 more weeks till this little guy is done baking!! :) Woohoo!!!! I am so ready!

This is the card that I did for Practical Scrappers this week. Our challenge was to use chalk/ink this week. Chalk is something that I haven't played with a lot but really love how it looks, the soft look it has. For this card I used my Alphacolor Square Pastels (chalk crayons). I've had this set for a long time just haven't used it on my cards before. I used three colors blue, green and yellow. I started of with a 2 1/2 by 3 3/4 peace of white card stock and simple added little at a time some chalk with a sponge. That gave me a back ground for the flowers. I also added some brown chalk around the edges of the blue printed paper.

Used:
Several different cardstock.
ColorBox "Rose Coral" and "Maroon" chalk.
Pamass Pigment Ink pad "Green".
CTMH "Happiness" stamp set.
CMTH "For Every Occasion" stamp set.
Martha Stewart yellow ribbon.

"Wish" card... Poppy Seed Challenge - Poppy Paperie.....

I wanted to play with some chalk and do some water coloring type thing. I embossed my flowers with clear sparkle embossing powder. Then I used my SU blending pen and some chalk crayons that I have. The flowers didn't come out as clear as I hoped but that's OK. I'm still learning, right... :) At list they looked like they are water colored... at list I think so.

"Miles of Smiles" layout and a card....

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to use our stamps. Stamping is something that I started doing about 2 years ago. And I LOVE STAMPS!!!! :) Specially the clear stamps. I do have some wooden once but the clear stamps what got me in too even trying stamping.

There's so many ways that you can use stamps. And this week you'll definitely see many of those ways used in projects over at PS so head over there and check out all of the work that the Design Team did this week.

I love using my stamps for creating my own back ground paper. There's many times when I can't find just the right kind of printed paper for a layout or a card. What I love about clear stamps is that you can take more then one image and put them on your block and have 4 - 5 (or more) different stamps at the same time to stamp your images. No need to do one at a time. How awesome is that?

So for this week that is exactly what I did. I stamped several solid colored cardstock and stamped them with my stamps and cut different shapes out using my cricut. Then I used that on my layout and card for this weeks challenge.

I love how this layout turned out. I used several of CTMH stamps to stamp the green back ground on the white solid cardstock. I also used my alpha stamps to do my title. All of the shapes have stamped images on them as well.

This layout was also done for Creative Scrappers Sketch #91 by: Kristine Davidson... You can see the sketch over at Creative Scrappers blog......

On the card the blue/gray shape has stamped swirls on it for a background.

I started by stamping swirls on my cardstock.

and this one is all done.

I then used several of the cricut cartridges:
Beyond Birthdays
Lyrical Letters
Accent Essentials
Plantin Schoolbook

and cut all of these shapes out and used them on the layout and card.

Up close of some of the elements on the layout.... I used some stickles on the bird and chalk on different shapes.

So I hope you got some inspiration to get your stamps out and use them and make your own background paper. :)

Valentine's Day cards.....

I say it's better late then never!!! :) So here I am posting couple of Valentine's Day cards that I did.

My husband and I don't do Valentines Day. It's just something that we never did, well he did get flowers for me one year and that was really sweet it's just something that we don't make a point of doing. But this year after looking at all the wonderful cards and projects that other paper crafters did I decided to make a card for my husband just to let him know how much I love him and what a wonderful husband and daddy he is. The Lord really blessed me with a wonderful husband!!!! :)

This is what I came up with!!! This year Valentines day was on a Sunday and I come home before my husband from Church, he drives the buss for our Church Buss Ministry so he comes home little later. I had the card waiting for him next to his bed side... :) Took him some time to see it, ha ha... but he LOVED it!!!!

Cards using Crepe paper.

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to use flowers. At PS we always try to find new ways to use thing. And there's so many ways to do flowers the DT there has worked really hard this week. Go to the PS blog and check out at all of the work.

So happened that the week before I was searching for some fun scrapbooking/card making videos and I came across a video about crepe paper. The lady did some really cool things with it and I knew just what kind of flowers I wanted to do for this weeks challenge. Unfortunately I can't find that video for you all to see. But I'll look again and if I do find it I'll post it.
I never thought about using party string for something like this before.

I did 3 cards and used dark pink and blue crepe paper.

"Happy Birthday" is sentiment stamp from CTMH "Birthday sentiments" stamp set. For this card I used my shape scissors to cut lots of little circles then I used a small bard in the middle to hold them all in place and formed the shapes of each circle to make it look more 3D like flower.

"Baby Boy" card is being featured at Practical Scrappers this week. For this card I folded the crepe sting in 1/2 and then I gathered it with a thread and needle and it formed in too a flower. I attached a large brad in the middle to hold it together.

For the thrid card I did a technique that I've seen done with ribbon and other papers. It was so much fun. I did a little raffle at the bottom of the card.... Basically what I did is again fold the crepe string in 1/2 and gather it with needle and thread but not as tight as if you would be doing a flower (see above). Place a strip of adhesive on your card and start putting down your gathered crepe string. Pressing on too where the adhesive is at, you can see on the first photo the glare, that is my adhesive.

When you are all done this is what it should look like.

When you are done with this part just start putting your card together. I put a peace of cardstock on top to cover up the stitching part. Very easy to do.... :) Hope you'll give it a try if you haven't done this before.

Couple more fun cards....

Just couple more cards that I did last week. Playing with new things I've learned and another fun new stamp that I got at our craft store for a $1. :) I just had to get that pregnant lady stamp. It's so cute!!!! I colored it with some color pencils. And again used the "Sentiments" stamp set by Making Memories and some other stamps. Oh and I have I said how much I love playing with my heat embossing things, it's so much FUN... :)

I really love the look of simple cards. Plus I can get more of them done when they are simple to make... :)

Here is the last set of cards that I did for our Ladies Fellowship last week Thursday. These are very simple and easy cards to do. I know, I know... :) I'm using this stamp set way too much. But I just love it. The images are beautiful and they stamp so nice and clear. But what a girl to do? When you get a new toy you just play with it as much as you can... well at list that's what I do.

"Laughter" and "Just Because"

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to use brads in our projects. I did a 12x12 layout and a card for my Wednesday submission. :)

For the layout I used Basic Grey patterned paper for the back ground and other different kinds of patterned papers. Flowers and some Bo Bunny rob-ons. I used large size brads for the middle of the flowers as my flower centers. For the title I used Thickers ABC stickers. love how this layout turned out!!!

For the card I used one of my new and favorite stamp sets by American Crafts "Sentiments". I stamped the flowers 3 times in a row and used sugar coated brads for the flowers. I used some patterned paper from my scraps bin so I don't even know what brand they are, sorry. I added some jewels in the middle of the chipboard butterfly and some ribbon and the card was done. I really how it turned out. It's so bright and colorful!!! :)

"Thinking about you" cards.....

I had a productive day yesterday. I feel like my crafting mojo is coming back. :) About time too I say!!! :) I made 7 cards yesterday and thought I'd share couple of them with you today.

I really enjoy making simple cards. I love the fancy cards but just don't have the patience to do that.

We had Ladies Fellowship last night and I brought my supplies for us all to use. We worked on some cards that we can mail to our deployed soldiers, college students and some of the elderly people in our Church. Everyone had so much FUN! I did couple of examples for the ladies to look at. And this is what I came up with.

On this card I used Kraft paper, brown cat's eye chalk, a die cute shape that I picked up at a scrapbook store. The flowers and the sentiment came from my new stamp set... I really LOVE this set, it has so many beautiful images. The stamp set is by American Crafts called "Sentiments" large and the last touch was some ribbon.

This card looks more elegant in person then on the picture. I had a really hard time taking pictures of these cards, the weather wasn't the best to do this.... I used Kraft and cranberry cardstock. Rusted look (kind of) brads, the sentiment came from American Crafts "Sentiment" stamp set. The flower/swirl image came from INKADINKADO called "Floral Flourishes" stamp set ... very cute set. I embossed it with American Crafts Zing embossing powder Brown Sugar.

Not sure if you can see the leaves on this card. But I stamped some leaves on the white card stock before stamping "thinking of you" sentiment from CTMH "Rustic Flower" stamp set. Some cardstock and ribbon to finish off the card.

Again I used "Sentiments" stamp set by AC. Some buttons, brown and orange cardstock....

I've seen some of these paper goodie bags done in several blogs so I thought I'd give it a try. This week at Practical Scrappers we had to use any die cut machine we had. I of course I used my cricut expression... :)

So here is what I came up with..... I really like the way it came out. All though I think I'll make the shape a smaller size. The size for this baggy I did 5" I'd go with 4 1/2 or 4 1/4, just little smaller.

I used Plantain Schoolbook cartridge for the basic shape and Beyond Birthday cartridge for the "MOM" that was cut at 1 1/2" size... but it can be cut bigger too... Oh, actually I did cut it bigger size I just used the wrong cut. I realized that I did that after I put it all together and took pictures. I went back to my table and a bigger piece was just sitting there.... Oh, well I can use it for something else.

I covered the "MOM" cut with start dust stickles, let it dry very well before adhering it. I had some flower stickers (not sure what they are called). Some jewels in different places. Ribbon on top, and I added a cute butterfly on the ribbon.

I know this is too early for Mothers Day... But hey why not? :) I think this would be supper cute to give to a mom or make one for a teacher, put some candy or other goodies in there and your gift is done!!! It was very super easy to make and fast....

A long over due update about our Church auction in December.

I haven't had the "mojo" to do much of anything... I can't find the time to sit down and do the things that I really want to do. I think being 6 1/2 months pregnant has something to do with that. :) A few more months, and we'll finally meet our first little guy. :)

With that said, I've been wanting to update you all on how the auction went last month, so I'm finally doing it. There's so much that I'd like to say about it. So many blessings. I was so overwhelmed with all the help and donations that we got from friends and Church members. There's a lesson that I re-learn every time I do an event like this, and that is to trust the Lord with all your heart... He will always get things done!!!! And so He did!!!! I was very nervous that we were not going to have enough auction items, but literally 2 or 3 days before the auction, people brought so much that we had to make extra tickets! :) The Lord works on His own time, not ours!!! And by now, I should just trust Him and not worry. After the event, I was so amazed at how things turned out. I don't even know what words to use to express the way I feel.

I just know that without Him, this event would have never happened. I am so thankful that I have an awesome God!!!!! We had 26 auction tickets, a bake sale and a lot of small gifts for people to buy on the spot. We made $1,321.00 and we had VERY, and I mean VERY few things left over. All proceeds are going towards our Church Building fund, and I'm so excited that I'll get to be part of our Church building!!!! I had people ask me if we were going to do this again, and people made suggestions about how to make it better next time, etc. I'm not sure if we'll have another one. If the Lords puts it in our hearts, we might. We'll see.

This is our set-up. We were able to use the same corner as last time, and it worked out great.

I altered wooden "JOY" letters, and a friend of mine made spool Christmas trees (I think that's what she called them.)

I altered another crayon wooden box. It turned out really cute, if I say so myself. Here's a link to the boxes that I did for the first auction.

I also altered a bigger box for cards. I love the way this turned out.

This little box came with a new wallet that my husband got. I just couldn't get rid of it. The cover was leather-type stuff. I really, really wanted to do something with it and I think that this turned out super cute. :)

I used a large Poinsettia stamp, white StazOn ink, and red and green stickles for sparkles... So cute... :) I added some ribbon to go around the lid. I painted the box itsself with cream colored paint.

Inside the box, there was jewelry from a friend who made this beautiful necklace and earrings.

I made three paper Christmas trees. I forgot to take a picture of the third one, sorry... Here's a link to directions.

Christmas banner made out of felt....

A Christmas wreath, banner, and three Christmas trees were auctioned off as a set.

An altered note book. This was so awesome to see come alive... LOL :) For more pictures and instructions you can see yesterdays post HERE.... This note book was also shown at Practical Scrappers yesterday for their patterned paper challenge.

I made these cute little note pads. They each cost me literally less then a $1 to make. The frames were $.39 to $.69 cents each on SALE! Awesome. The paper I had, the note pads (OK well with the note pads it was more then a $1, but still ) were I think $3 or $4 for a pack of 4. I made 10 small note pads and 10 larger note pads. I think the small one was 5x3, and the large one was 7x5 or something like that... not sure on the size, sorry ladies. Anyways, I used Gina K school stamps, and I just LOVE her stamps. A friend posted these cute note pads on one of the boards I visit, and here are the links to the blog that she found them at.... HERE and HERE....

This is what the note pad looked like out of the package and on your desk. These were a BIG hit!!! Everyone LOVED them. They were so easy to make, too. If we do this again, I will definitely be doing more of these!!!!!

Another handmade advent calendar that was made by a friend.

We had some awesome snack gifts as well. Someone donated a couple of Christmas jars that we were able to use. This was one of them. It was a Christmas gingerbread house cookie jar that included Hawaiian cookies.

Wrapping kit. I made close to 40 Christmas tags. Altered boxes for gift wrapping and more. For instructions and close up pictures of the boxes, you can go HERE...

I had a wooden recipe box that a friend of mine altered. She also altered matching salt and pepper shakers, and we included some kitchen towels and recipe cards.

Altered - Christmas List note book.

Here is the Christmas List note book that I altered for the silent auction last month.

I saw this note book at one of the blogs that I follow. And I just had to make it, it was so beautiful!!! The only thing is I used a big note book. I couldn't figure out how she got a pen the same size as the note book... LOL :) then my best friend said that she probably used the small note book... LOL :) Well I had the DUH moment that's for sure!!! :) But it worked out anyways. :)

So I'm up and ready to go, I guess... LOL :) It's 8:25am right now as I'm typing this. My husband went to work and our oldest is at school so it's just me and the girls. The youngest is still sleeping but was coughing all through the night. The other two also got up with a really bad cough and all that yucky stuff that comes along with being sick. So I'm really not looking forward to today. I just don't like seeing them so sick.

But sense I'm up and I did my dishes and even a load of laundry already... Yeah, I know I'm crazy... ha ha Who does laundry at 7:30 am?

Birthday and goodie buckets..... :)

Our oldest daughter turned 8 last Sunday. :) WOW! The time has gone so fast. I can't believe we have an 8 year old. She was born 7lb and was the cutest little baby girl ever!!!! She was born 2 hours and 10 minutes after my birthday... :) I love that our birthdays are next to each other!!!!

Every year I have the hardest time deciding what to do for our kids birthdays. What theme? What kind of goodie bags? and so on and on.... Planning a birthday party for an 8 year old is totally different then planning a party for a 5 year, I tell ya. Specially for a girl. What ever happened to a princess cake and princess type games???? LOL :) She really really wanted to have a make up party this year. So mom caved in and we had so much fun. We had 7 little girls here, we painted their toe and finger nails. Did facial masks, watched a really funny movie, had pizza and cake with ice cream. I am so glad that my sister is here visiting right now and she was able to help me with this party or I would have never been able to do it all by my self that's for sure.

Even though my baby girl is grown up I'm so enjoying all the fun that we are having!!!!

Here is one of the goodie buckets that I did for the girls. Practical Scrappers challenge this week is embossing so I did more heat embossing. Still learning, I'm scared I'll do it the wrong way... LOL :) But I LOVE it so much!!! I just need to get more embossing powders now.

I just had these pail buckets left over from another project that I did, they were perfect as a goodie bag. Went to Target with my sister and picked up couple of party favors.

I cut the heart from "Doodlecharms" cricut cartridge, then punched the wholes and chucked the edges with brown chalk.

I simply stamped the sentiment stamp with the embossing ink thing (sorry forgot what's it called :) ) and then heated with my gun.

Added some stickers that I picked up at a store and all done.... Oh and I also did these cute little paper clips that I added to the ribbon.

It was a fun birthday party!!!! :) We all had a blast!!!

Bling, glitter, pearls and anything else that sparkles...

This week at PS is all about SPARKLE!!!!!!! What fun!!!!!

Ladies on the design team have so many awesome layouts, cards and other projects to use all kinds of bling. It is all about SPARKLE that's for sure!!! :)

For my project I decided to make a bridle shower card, as I was going to a bridle shower and I needed a card anyways. It turned out so cute... I just love it!!! :)

My sweet handsome husband got me a heat gun for Christmas.... Side note on that..... I have been wanting to do heat embossing for such a long time and kept telling him that I needed a heat gun. So it was an awesome surprise when one of my Christmas gifts was the gun... Couple of days later after Christmas I got my Secret Santa package from a friend and guess what she had in there? Yap, a heat gun!!! LOL :) Now my husband told me to no tell him what I want because my scrapbooking friends get it for me and I end up with two... LOL :) Anyways, I love my husband and my friend for thinking of me!!!! :)

Back to the card... :)

I used a bride and groom clear stamp by Studio G. Stamped it on the white card stock with black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing. Now this is my very first time doing heat embossing. I was so nervous about doing it... but it was so much fun!!! I can't wait to do more... :)

After that was done I cut out a heart shape to help me guide where to put pearls around the bride and groom. Got these pearls at Target. Stamped the sentiment in black and my card was done... :)

It's simple but beautiful.... :)

Buttons!!!!

My first post of the year!!! Woohoo!!! :)

I hope that you all had/having an awesome first week of 2010!!! It's going to take some time for me to remember that it's not '09 anymore. :) So far it's been a great year. My sister is coming next week. I'm excited for that, all thought she'll be here for only a week, but still we get to see her and the girls have been asking for family members to come and visit. It'll be awesome to have her here. My other younger sister got engaged on Dec. 30th and we are all so THRILLED for her and our brother in law to be!!! :) The wedding will be this year, so that's exciting!!!!! A lot of FUN things happening!!!!

With the Holidays gone now things are getting back to normal schedule around here as well as at Practical Scrappers. This week our challenge was "buttons"... I love buttons! All though I need a bigger collection. LOL :)

I did this card this passed weekend at a friends house. I got to use some of her stamp sets and such. Woohoo... Love playing with new stamp sets...

This card is simple but cute. I used a very large button in the center of the card. Punched out a circle out of printed paper and threaded some embroidery floss though and attached it to the center of the button.

Papers are "Discover" pack by CTMH.
Stamp set is "From Me to You" also by CTMH.

Merry Christmas to you all!!!

I know it's Christmas Eve today but still... :) I hope that you all are enjoying your time with family today and tomorrow!!! What a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of our Savior!!!!!

We'll be opening out gifts tomorrow morning and the girls can not wait to open them up. We got them all wrapped last night and got them under the tree.

Our families and friends have been asking for new photos of the girls so I thought I'd post some pictures that I took of them from last Sunday as we were getting ready to go to Church.

Paper Christmas Trees.....

I love making these paper Christmas tress. They are so much fun and so easy to make.

I was shown how to make them couple of years ago by couple of friends from one of the message boards.

All you need is a couple of Styrofoam Cones, I guess as many of them as you want but you'll need online one cone per tree. :)

Then pick your colors and style of Christmas cardstock. All of my trees were different. That makes it more fun I think. :)

Cut your printed paper 1" wide and 3" long. You can arrange the loops of paper on your tree how ever you like it.
When you make a loop make sure that you don't crease it.
You can use those needles with the top hat kind of thing to hold your loops of paper on the cone. I used hut glue gun this time around. I found that the needles don't really hold the paper in place very well, but with hut glue gun those papers don't move at all.
Once you have all of your loops on the cone you can add some thing to the top. It came be a ribbon bow, some flowers or what ever else you have on hand.

I added some jewels and stickles to the papers after I was done with everything, just to make the trees sparkle little more...

I made three trees for our auction this passed week.

The first picture is of the trees that I did about two years ago. Last pictures are of the two trees that I made for the auction, I totally forgot to take a picture of the third tree..... So, sorry your not going to see the third tree.

First day of Auction.....

I'm so tired right now....
Went to bed last night just pass midnight and got up at 6am this morning to be at the School by 7:30am for the auction.

I need to remember to take a picture of our tables when I go back in couple of hours and post it for your all to see.

We already sold some things there. WOOHOO!!! Very exciting!!!! Parents were looking at our stuff right and left... hee hee :) So much excitement!!!!

I can so see the Lords work in this!!!!!!

So anyways thought I'd give a small update for you all!!!! I'll be back soon with some pictures hopefully!!!

Christmas altered gifts and wrapping...

This week at Practical Scrappers we were asked to do some kind of Christmas wrapping or a gift that we have done.

As you all know I've been doing things for our Auction. One of the things that I'm entering is a Gift wrapping basket. I altered a tin that you saw couple of weeks ago. I made over 40 gift tags. A friend of mine came over to help with a lot of things, so I had her stamp Christmas images on the tissue paper. I also got some cheapboard boxes at our local craft store and altered them, added some ribbon and some Christmas embellishments on top. So that was my entry for Practical Scrappers this week.

Christmas Cards....

Don't you just LOVE Christmas? I do... :) It's been some what cool around here weather wise and it's been so nice. I even pulled out a blanked while I was on the couch watching my husband play his game, it was that chilly... I know many of you are going to say it's not cold in Hawaii... LOL :) But trust me when you get used to the weather you will know the difference between summer weather and winter. And I'm enjoying my cool breezy afternoons!!!! :)

Today is another fun day at Practical Scrappers and they are featuring some of my cards. If you haven't been to their blog yet go check them out. They have a lot of great Christmas ideas.

These cards are very simple, nothing fancy. All of these cards will be going in too our Church Auction that is starting tomorrow. The Auction is a fundraiser for our Church Building Fund. Can't wait till we go tonight to set things up.

Some of the supplies that I used are:
Christmas colors cardstock.
Red, crystal stickles.
For the scalloped square shape on the cards I used Accent Essentials cricut cartridge.
Black pen for pen stitching.
Creative Memories Galaxy mini maker.
Creative Memories star maker.
Buttons.
Ribbon.

For this card I used "Merry Christmas" stamp set by BoBunny.

On this card the I used staz-on ink and the snowflakes are from Christmas stamp set by Martha Steward.

The wreath is the same as you saw couple of weeks ago. Used CM galaxy maker and star maker. "Mele Kalikimaka" is Hawaiian way to say Merry Christmas... :) and that stamp came from CTMH "Tropical Christmas" stamp set, same with the above card.

For this cards I used BoBunny "Merry Christmas" stamp set for the tree and sentiment.

On this card I used Christmas stamps by Martha Steward and "Merry Christmas" stamp set by BoBunny.

Advent Calendar...

Today one of my projects is being featured at Practical Scrappers... WOOHOOO!!!! :)

When I first saw this advent calendar I fell in love with it... hee hee No really! I had to make this the same day as I saw it.

Christmas with the Cricut had Christina from Creations with Christina as a guest designer one week and one of the things that Christina made for Christmas with the Cricut was this awesome Advent calendar. It was so easy to make.

Here is my take on this advent calendar.

I had saved bunch of those card board idea sheets that Creative Memories puts with their paper packs. I knew there was a reason why I saved them... :)

I cut the shape using Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. Had my cricut set to multi cut 3 times (depends on how old your blade is and if you have a deep cut blade) blade set to 6 and pressure to max, size 4 inches. I cut 14 of these cards. Pick your paper pattern and cut the same shape, same size but 24 of them.

I then used glue and glued the patterned paper to the card board shapes. On this photo you can see how much glue I put. The blurry part is the glue.

I used Fabric glue, I used this glue only because it dries fast. You'll need 2 rings and something to punch wholes with. I used my Making Memories Eyelet setter the biggest size.

Advent calendar standing. The calendar is very sturdy so it stands on it's own.

When you get to # 12 you'll flip the pages over just like the original Advent calendar that was done by Christina that is why that 24 is upside down. Don't forget to go to her blog and check it out.

I used Creative Memories Open House gift set from two years ago, Christmas stickers.
Some of the other shapes I cut out from a patterned paper that I had used and had scraps left over.
Creative Memories Christmas die cuts and Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut cartridge for other shapes. The numbers are Lyrical Letters cartridge and other stickers.

Lots of stickels. White gel pen on some of the die cuts.

I had a lot of fun doing this project. This is going in to our Auction next week Wednesday. :)

I've been busy.....

It's Thursday December 3rd, last month of 2009. WOW! How did we get here so fast?
Christmas is almost here, I can't wait!!! :) Wish our family could come and join us for Christmas, but I know we are in their hearts and they are in our hearts during this Holiday season.

So, now to the reason why I've been MIA for couple of weeks. I've been working a lot on our Church Building Fundraiser Craft Silent Auction/Bake Sale. And it's happening next week!!! WOW! All that anticipation and excitement is about to come to an end. I can't wait till Tuesday next week when we'll go in and set the tables and our items and get everything ready for Wednesday morning. Our auction is 3 day long and it is held at our Elementary School. We have so many wonderful things, so many different Christmas gift ideas that so many ladies have come up with. I will be sharing them with you all when I get more time to actually do that. I can feel the Lords hand working in this auction so much. He has already blessed it abundantly and I can't wait to see what else He will do. :) I'm so excited!!!!

So that's what I've been up too. That and working on projects for Practical Scrappers. Don't forget they are featuring a lot of Christmas projects right now. This week is Cards and I can't tell you what next week is you'll just have to go to PS and check it out and don't forget to play along.

I haven't shared with you my layout for PS from couple of weeks ago so here it is. We had to use acrylic paint. So I painted my cheapboard stars with English Lace and Yellow acrylic paint. I also used the negative peace that was left after I punched the stars out as my stencil and stenciled the stars on the cardstock using the English Lace paint.

This week we got to do some really fun projects with white core cardstock or magic paper. Just wait till tomorrow altered projects are going to be posted... :) If you haven't had a chance to work with this type of paper you got to get some and play. It is so much FUN!

For this week I had 3 projects done. I did one card, a layout and I had one card done back in September that I was saving for this challenge.

Today I wanted to share with you a very FUN project that I did for PS this week.
I'm so excited about it. This project is also for our Craft Silent Auction at our School that I'm hosting for our Church Building Fundraiser in December.

This would also be such a FUN gift to give to some one for Christmas. Yes, I said Christmas!!! Did you all know that Christmas is NEXT MONTH!!!! This year has gone by so fast!!! I'm thinking that a lot of our gifts this year are going to be handmade. At list that is something that I would like to do.

Couple of month ago we took the girls to Burger King through a drive through. With our drinks we got the cup holder. Our BK is 3 min away from our home so we went home to eat our food. I looked at that cup holder and the firs things that came to my mind were the Starbucks bottles that I have been collecting for altering. The once that I had were the tall once so they would be perfect for this cup holder.

So last week I finally decided to do the project. It was so MUCH fun. I got to use fun papers, paint, die cuts that have been sitting in my folders for what seems like forever now. And some fun and new tricks. I really had so much FUN doing this.

First to start this project you need Burger King cup holder or I guess any other cup holder or what ever else works for you. Acrylic paint, what ever color you want to use on your project, 4 Starbucks bottles.

Here is what my cup holder looked like when I started painting it. I only painted where the paper was not going to go on. I did 3 cots of paint to cover up the "Have it your way" words. The paint also made the card board some what stronger.

This is what the box and the bottles look like after I was done with everything, all 4 sides. Isn't this FUN???

Up close of the Homemade Flower Soft. I love Flower Soft, but have only one color right now. On Practical Scrappers board some one posted that you can make your own Flower Soft. I was so so excited to find that out. Here is a link with pictures and a video of how to do this Handmade Flower Soft. I'm totally addicted right now and this saves so much money for me... LOL :) It was so easy to make and was so much fun to play with. My girls thought it was real snow when I was done with the project.... hee hee :)

Another week at Pracitcal Scrappers!!! Woohoo!!!

WOW! What a week at Practical Scrappers!!! So much creativity!!!

OK, so the challenge this week was to use any kind of FUN punches. Couple of weeks ago we did the basic shape punches and this time around we got to use FUN shaped punches.

Here are the three projects that I did.

For the first card I used Creative Memories Galaxy Micro Maker, the little green one. I have done this idea before but never on a card... I think.... Anyways, I punched out bunch of these little shapes and adhered them on too a thing frame circle. I also used Creative Memories star maker both sizes for the star on top.

Red cartstock from LSS.
Christmas stamps by Martha Steward.
Lots of stickles...

and here is the card....

The second card I used shapes from Accent Essentials cricut cartridge. The sentiment came from Lyrical Letters cartridge.

The third project was a layout. I'm continuing to work on my friends album so I did another page for that album. Again I used the same cartridges just different shapes for this layout.

This week at Practical Scrappers....

We had to use Office Supplies.
I had NEVER EVER used staples or paper clips in any of my cards or layouts. So this was totally NOT me.. :) But boy was it fun when I started....

This is the card that I came up with.

I had bunch of ribbon scraps left over from when I did the banner for the baby shower. I used Xyron 150 tape to get some adhesive on too the ribbon first and then I stapled them with staples.

I used Gina K. "Back to School" stamp set for the back pack.
American Crafts "Teen Drama Club" paper.
Thickers ABC sticker for the title.

Baby Shower and lots of fun goodies!!!

I hosted a Baby Shower for my best friend last Friday with bunch of other ladies from our Church. It was so much FUN!!!! I'm so glad that my friend had a great time and loved her shower!!! :)

I love doing all the goodies for this shower. She is one of my very close and dear friends and I wanted to do something special.

I don't have a picture of the invitation BUMMER!!!! Forgot to take it before they all went out. But I have couple left and I'll have to get them back from the person that was giving them out and I promise to post it later for you all. I just think it turned out so cute!!! :)

One of the things that I did was a Baby Shower banner.

I cut the 12x12 card board that comes in the package with Creative Memories pages or page protectors in too 51/2x51/2 inches. Then I painted my squares with green acrylic paint from WalMart.

I used Accent Essentials cricut cartridge to cut the scalloped squares out of some baby yellow paper by Martha Steward. Size 5 inches but as a shadow.

The white scalloped squares are from the same cartridge and same size only not a shadow. Shadow cuts just little bigger then regular cut that gives you a mad for your shape. Before I cut the white card stock I stamped baby images on it with postal colors. You can see that on the up close photo of one of the letters.

I used Lyrical Letters cartridge for the title "Loop Dee Loo" font all in caps. Pink card stock.

Button Ornament.

For one of the games we did was "Guess how many buttons?"
I used a flower foam circle type to glue the buttons. I painted the foam circle on side pink and the other yellow with again acrylic paint. Postal buttons came from WalMart. I used fabric glue to glue the buttons down. I found that this glue worked better then the Aleene's tacky glue. Some pink ribbon and some decorative buttons that spelled out BABY!

I used 266 buttons on this ornament. :)

Goodie Treats:
I got this idea for these treats from this video "Sweet Scallop Pouch". I think this lady is awesome. She has so many great videos and tutorials to make all kinds of treat bags. Just great...

Used lots of pink paper. I don't have the big cutting shape that she is using in the video so I used my CCS circle (I'll have to check what number I used) traced it and then used my scalloped decorative scissors to cut the circle out.
I got 3 butter milk mints in the little baggies.

Practical Scrappers week 6 and 7....

I was so excited that I had my project done for Practical Scrappers blog for week 6. Only to find out that I got my projects mixed up. So I didn't get to do week 6, instead I did week 7. But that's OK. I got something going that I ended up doing for last weeks challenge even if I didn't submit it. The only thing is that I can't show it to you just yet... :) You'll have to wait till next week.

I did have A LOT OF FUN working on this weeks challenge. We had Lacy cardstock... WOW! What fun!!!! I didn't really use lacy cardstock before but looking at all of the work that the Design Team ladies did on PS is just amazing and I need to go out and get my self some more of this lacy cardstock. So much inspiration going on at PS right now.

Oh and my the way did you all know that PS has a board now? Yep!!! And it's AWESOME!!!! You all should check it out!!!! Here's a link Practical Scrappers boards...

OK... back to this weeks challenge.

Here is my layout that I did. Yet another layout for our friends album. It's getting closer and closer to being done... :) Woohoo!!!! I hope they'll like it when it's all done.

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays!!!!!

We have so many birthdays going on around here it's so much FUN!!!! I got to do some invitations and goodie bags for two of my dear friend's daughters. It was so much FUN working in these projects. Now that we had the parties I'm able to show you some of the things that I did.

Both of the girls and my friend LOVED everything. I'm so glad that the girls liked their goodie bags.

I'm going to start off with the invitations. The party theme for this party was "Wheels" anything that is on wheels. The kids got to bring their scooters, bikes, skates, roller blades and anything else that had wheels on it and they spent about an hour playing and ridding things. It was a lot of FUN.

I used some CM paper from NSD last year or the year before, don't remember. White card stock and purple CM cardsotck. CTMH markers and stickles.

I got my first set of Gina K. stamps and I just LOVE them. They stamps so nicely and the image is so clean. I used "Are we there yet?" stamp set from Gina K. designs on this card.

As a birthday card I used SU "Birthday wishes" stamp, CM printed paper same as in the invitations. Some jewels and "Rollerskate Milly" stamp from Pink Gem Designs. I colored "Milly" with some colored pencils.

The second birthday theme was "Mermaid" :) So I just had to use the "Life is a beach" cricut cartridge. I also used the Accent Essentials to cut the flower for my shaker box. I cut the flower solid then used one of CM CCS's circles to cut out the middle.

"giving thanks for you"

I got a chance to do some cards for our SOS ministry at our Church. It stends for "Serving Our Servicemen". We are sending Thanksgiving packages to our military men that are deployed right now and I was asked to make some Thanksgiving cards. I saw this stamp "giving thanks for you" at our local scrapbook store and I just had to get it. I thought it was perfect for these cards. The leaves are by Making Memories I think, got them at Target. Used lots of fall colors, ribbon and some raffia.

Anniversary!!!!

My husband and I had our 8th anniversary this week. WOW! It's been 8 wonderful years!!! I love my husband dearly and I'm so thankful to the Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful husband!!!

We are hoping to get out of the house for a little this Saturday and do something together. Breakfast and some time at the beach maybe. I just got a babysitter so this might work out after all!!! :) Woohoo!!!

One of our awesome friends send us a bouquet of flower for our anniversary. The flowers are so beautiful and smell so nice!!! I put them next to my cropping table so I could smell them while working on things.

I thought I would share some pics of the flowers with you all!!! :)

Practical Scrappers week 5!!!!

This week at Practical Scrappers we got to play with transparency.

I'll be the first to say that I had not worked with transparency before in a crafting kind of way. But I had so much FUN. And I learned new stuff and that is awesome. Watch for my next project with transparency...

Anyways, I did a Christmas card and a gift bag. They both turned so cute. At list I think so!!! :)

For the card I used Lyrical Letters cricut cartridge card shape. I picked a simple card and then just cut out the shape that the card comes with. And it gave me a clean window with out any shapes. The Christmas tree also came from Lyrical Letters cartridge.

I stamped some Martha Steward snowflakes using white StazOn on too the transparency. Added some jewels on to the tree and that's it. Simple and easy.

All though "Merry Christmas" didn't turn out as well as I wanted it too being stamped on top of the snowflake but I still like how the card turned out.

For the gift bag I used a brown lunch bag and just cut a circle out of it using CM CCS and made a window out of transparency. Cut the scalloped circle flower using a Accent Essentials Cartridge. Some flowers by Making Memories and swirl stickers from Target.

Practical Scrappers week 4.

This weeks project is so much FUN. I was so excited when I saw that this week Practical Scrappers is featuring felt!!! It is so much fun to play with felt but it can also be tricky.

Our second oldest daughter turned 5 years old on the 15th of this month. WOW! The time has gone by so fast. We are having her birthday party this Friday at the pool. She is so excited and can't wait. I love making all kinds of decorations for parties. But for some reason making those things for my own family seems to be the hardest part. For anyone else, no problem I get all kinds of ideas but for my own I get a crafters block... LOL :)

I needed to come up an idea for dd's birthday goodie bags. So I went to a scrapbook store, I had to pick up couple of things any ways. There I saw this cute little box, this scrapbook store has one of those big cutting things and if you buy their paper you can cut what ever shape you like (that they have) for free. So I did. I only needed 9 boxes so that was perfect.

As soon as I got those boxes cut Practical Scrappers challenge came to mind. It was perfect.

I cam home put in Animals Kingdom cricut cartridge in, picked out my elephant head (sense that is what dd wanted for her birthday theme) size 2 1/2" and let the cricut do it's job of cutting. I had some green felt so I draw some leaves using CM photo pencil and then cut them out.

I got some felt flowers from Target by Making Memories.
Some buttons from my buttons stash and starting putting the boxes together.
Some raffia for the button and for the tag on top.
SU scalloped circle punch for the tag.

Here is the box.

I also made invitations using the same elephant from the Animals Kingdom. The elephant size is 5" same for the shadow so don't change the size when you cut that out. The party hat came from Doodlescharms cartridge.

I added some stickles in the circles of the party hat.

I really love how the boxes turned out. So I hope that you will too.

Practical Scrappers week 3.

For week 3 we had to use ABC stickers but we had to use them in a fun way not just titles. I have a bunch of ABC sticker sheets left with just a couple of letters left on the sheet. I've been wanting to use the negative part of the sheets in some way. So I got to do just that this week at Practical Scrappers.

I did a double layout using negative sheet from the ABC stickers and some baseball die cuts, cricut for title.

You can also see the layout at Practical Scrappers and don't forget to check out other DT ladies work. They all did such a wonderful job. Comments are always welcomed over there as here as well!!! :)

Practical Scrappers week 2.

For week 2 we had to use Shape Punches. Now this was easy. I have bunch of shape punches that I have collected sense I've started scrapbooking. The only things was that it's been some time sense I've used them all, specially sense I got my cricut. But I still had fun. :)

I made 3 cards. Two of the cards I used a heart maker and for the third stars. You can see the star one at Practical Scrappers.

Practical Scrappers week 1.....

I love being part of Practical Scrappers Design Team. It's been so much FUN. I love the challenges we get and the ladies are so so sweet and nice.

All though I took some time away from posting in my personal blog I did keep up with Practical Scrappers DT. There was no way I was going to let them down.

It's been an AWESOME 4 weeks for me. So I thought I would finally share with you what I have been doing over there.

Our first week we had to use stamps.

The layout that I did I used CTMH "Friendship Flowers" stamp set.

You can also see it here at Practical Scrappers.

I stamped the flowers on to the white card stock using "breeze" blue like color ink pad from CTMH.
I stamped the flowers and cut them out. Also stamped the centers of the flowers in yellow and then cut them out and adhered to the flower. I used pop dots to make the flower pop up a little.
Also used the title from the stamps set "If friends were flowers, I'd pick you". The picture is of my dd and one of her good friends that was taken a couple of months ago.
For the stems I used Accent Essentials cartridge, 1 1/4 size. I also chucked most of the papers and the flower stems.

WOW! I can't believe I actually have some time to post a post here. It's been a very busy month of September. I haven't had time to come here and post anything in some time now, haven't even had the time to read up all of the blogs that I'm following. It's getting better but only to pick right back up in too the busy month of Oct.-Dec. In December we are having another Silent Auction/Bake Sale at our School as Fundraiser for our Church Building Fund. So I've got A LOT of projects to do. I'm really looking forward to that. Can't wait to show you all the things that I have in my head to do... LOL :) If only it was easy to get them out of my head.

So anyways, this post is about this past weekend. We had such a good weekend spending as a family. I got to scrapbook in the morning, kids played nicely so that was really good. :) At about 3pm we heard some airplanes flying over our house very low and very loud. We came out to see what was going on and found out that it was an Air Show that weekend at Hickam AFB. We watched those planes from our house do all sorts of things. It was really awesome. They were flying so low that baby Sara was trying to hide her head she kept saying "My head" LOL :) it was cute. The girls LOVED it. We took some pictures and videos from our back yard.

On Sunday after morning Church Serves we decided to go to the base and see the planes more up close. We have never been to an Air Show before so this was really neat to see and experience. I was so impressed of how the base people had everything organized for the civilians to come on base to watch the show. They had roads blocked off and enough military men and women to guide us to where we needed to be at. It was really neat.

Here are some pictures that we took and a video or two. I have a small digital camera so our pics didn't come all that great but still they look cool I think. :) If you click on the photo you'll be able to see it bigger.

Hi ladies,
I just wanted to post a quick note here to let you all know that I'm still around. I just have a lot of things going on right now. All good. September is a very busy month for birthdays in our area and I'm sure in yours as well. So I got lots of birthday cards to make, birthday invitations and so much more. But hey at list I'm doing what I love... :)

I checked my e-mail last night and found an e-mail from Practical Scrappers letting me know that I was chosen to be on their DT for Cricut/Cuttlebug DT!!!! I mean they PICKED ME to be part of their Design Team!!!!! Woohooo!!! I'm so excited!!!

Practical Scrappers blog is an awesome blog with lots of FUN challenges. Every week they have new challenges to help you use the supplies you already have on hand! And we all know how much stuff we all have!! Right? :) It's always so much fun to see many ways of using things you already have!!

I already got my schedule of things that need to be done and by when. Can't wait to start working on some of those things!! This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!! :)

I prayed about this and the Lord answered! He is awesome!!! :)

LOL :) Ok... I fixed the post.... I do not know why but I keep calling this ladybug a butterfly!!! Why? I have no clue!!! I was doing that the whole time me and my friend were making these cards. LOL :) but it's fixed now!!!! Oh and yes my friend wanted the ladybug theme not the butterfly so we are OK!!!! :)

I did Birthday party invitations for my friends babe's first birthday.

She wanted to do ladybug theme... I used the Doodlecharm circut cartridge for the ladybug, 1 1/2" size. SU stamp for the "Your Invited" and CTMH "Playful Flourishes" stamp set for the swirls. Some bling for the eyes and a flower!!! It's very simple but I think the invites turned out cute. I know that the green paper is from CM but don't remember what the pink one is.

CPCM-CM17 Color Mondayon on Christian Paper Crafts

I finally got my project done for the Color Monday challenge on Christian Paper Crafts. We had to use kraft, red, and black colors and could create what ever we wanted. So I did this cute little gift box.

I'm starting on making some things for our Craft Silent auction that is going to happen some time before Christmas at our School. All the proceeds will go towards our Church building fund!!! We had a lot of fund doing the auction last school year and I'm looking forward to what the Lord will bring for us this time around!!!!

I got the box template from the Papercraft Inspirations web site. They have a lot of FREE templates there!!!! :)

Used:
White, black and draft cardstock.
Real Red SU ink pad.
CTMH "Rustic Flowers" stamp set.
A sentiment stamp that I had.
Ribbon, button, bling, stickles.

And here I'm holding the box so you can see what size it is.

Not sure what I'm going to fill it with yet. Got any ideas??? :) I'm thinking some hand made cards or something like that.

Matryoshka cards...

I wanted to do couple more cards that would be Russian themed for my dad's store and I found this template. I had so much fun making these "Matryoshka' cards. I got the pattern from the doll at Papercraft Inspirational magazine . I re-sized it to fit in too my envelop witch makes the doll about 5 1/2 in tall.

I am so exited about these cards and really like how they came out. I'll come back later and add what I used to make them...(don't have a lot of time right now) but for now here are the pictures for you all to see... :)

I've wanted to use my craftiness for the Lord in some way. I prayed that the Lord would show me a way to use the gift that He has so graciously given to me. The gift of paper craftiness I call it... :) I believe that I paper craft for a reason and I have been asking God to show me that reason, to show me the path that He wants me to take. What He wants me to do with this gift?

I have been doing some things for our Church, friends and family. I love that part. I love to be able to do something for the Lord from the heart. To see people smile and get so excited!!!! Brings JOY to my heart!!! I've been blessed abundantly. I have a husband that encourages me in my hobby, Church, friends and family that encourage me and lift me up when needed!!!

The last couple of week I've been really praying that God would help me use this hobby more for Him. And just couple of days ago I believe that He has answered my prayer and I am so excited!!!

You see my daddy has a Russian Christian Book store in Portland, Oregon. He has just moved his location and is doing some major work in his new store. So, the Lord send me a thought of making cards for my dad's store. How cool would that be? So I went on a hunt for some Russian stamps, but didn't find any with Bible Scriptures. So the next best thing would be to print them. And so I did. I am so excited! I've been working for the last couple of days making cards for him and did well over 20 different types of cards now. But the part that is exciting the most to me is that I got couple of cards with Bible Scriptures in Russian and I just know that mom and dad are going to be so thrilled!!!!

So here we go...

The first card the Bible verse is "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1-Corinthians 16:13

Second card is "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2

I took this pic last night in the house it was dark already sorry.
Bible verse is "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." John 13:34

I've been making a lot cards these past two days. Play with Lyrical Letters cartridge is a lot of fun. If you have this cartridge but haven't played with these images yet, you are missing out on a lot of FUN!!!! :)

Here's 3 more cards that I did. They are very simple and easy. My cricut did the cutting of the image. All I did is added the paper and some embellishments. Again, I'm using my scraps, getting the basket to a smaller size... So you'll see some of the same colors, papers used.

I used CTMH stamp for the sentiment on this card.

3 cards using Lyrical Letters cartridge!!!

I wanted to try those card shapes that Lyrical Letters cartridge has sense I got the cartridge. But haven't done it till last night. I really don't know why I waited but I'm glad that I finally decided to try them out.

I have so many cards to share with you all but I think that I'll keep some of them for tomorrow.:)

I used my scraps of papers these projects. I'm on a mission to get that basket full of paper scraps smaller A LOT smaller!!!!

Used only Lyrical Letters cartridge and some word stickers that I had laying around. Actually I think I got those stickers in the mail with some scrapbook magazine subscription or something like that.
Start Dust stickers, pearls, ribbon, button and scrappers floss.
Hello Kitty sizzix embossing folder. I used baking rolling pin thing, to get that blue paper embossed. Don't have a cuttlebug or a bigshot and yes my hands were hurting after words. But I LOVE the way it came out.

OK here we got... Hope you'll like these!!!! :)

Flower Soft and Practical Scrappers Challenge!

I posted yesterday that I got my first tin of Flower Soft and BOY do I LOVE IT!!!!? :) It's is so AWESOME!!!

I found these two videos that are very very helpful. The lady has a very nice teaching voice and she explains everything so nicely!!!!

I had a BLAST working with Flower Soft last night. My husband and my brother in law who is visiting us right now even liked the cards that I did.. LOL :) It was SO easy to use and so much FUN!!! Now I need to get more colors!!!! hee hee

So here are the cards that I did plus a layout using Flower Soft. It is so windy outside today that I could not get the layout and cards to stay still. I take my pictures outside for better lighting. So I'm sorry if the pictures didn't turn out all that great.

Used on both of the cards:

Flowers stamp from Garden bouquet collection by Posh Impressions.
CTMH Ink pens, Hydrangea, Topiary and Holiday Red.

They layout is simple. Some paper STMH stamps and Flower Soft. I just had so much fun playing last night!!! :) The layout is also a Challenge page for Practical Scrappers. We had to use 5 eyelets on a layout. Go check out their blog and what their DT team came up with for this challenge.

Here is my layout. The 4 eyelets are on the two pink strips at the bottom and the 5th one is on a circle. For the title I used Lyrical Letters cartridge the Capital font.

Woohoo!!! I got a package in the mail today!!!! And it's from Our Daily Bread!!!

Lita's sketch #4 and Scrunchy Flowers...

I have two projects to show you today!!!!

First is the Scrunchy Flower or paper flower or the flower that everyone is making these days. :) I've seen them EVERYWHERE! There's a lot of great tutorials out there for these flowers. I found this tutorial at Christian Paper Crafts to be very easy and simply to follow.

I finally took the time last night to make couple of these flowers as I was waiting for my husband to finish up his home work. If you haven't done these yet, you have too. They are so easy to make and are so CUTE!!!

Here is a card that I made for a boy birthday for a friend with the first flower that I did.

I had a lot of fun doing this sketch. I just love how these little scrunchy paper flowers turned out!!!! I started working on the Volume 2 album for our friends and the photos are of their oldest daughter. She is such a good kid!!!!

Lita's sketch #3...

I finally got to do Lita's sketch #3. It's an awesome sketch and I see my self using it many more times. I had so much fun doing this layout. I even journaled and posting the layout with that journaling here.... so that means that you'll see my hand writing and non fixed or checked spelling... LOL :)

Paper layout:

Used:
Life is a Beach cricut cartridge. Crab, fish, sun and sand dollar.
Accent Essential cartridge. The circles, it's all one shape.
I had cut out before some sun's from the Life is a Beach cartridge and used the template the negative that was left from the sun and stamped it over with some yellow and orange ink pad on top of the white card stock.
The sun, I had painted with some orange Making Memories liquid acrylic paint. Cut two of them in 1/2 and layered on top of each other and put some start dust stickles on top.

It is so sad and hard to see friends move away!!!

And we had to do that this week end. We said our "See ya later and we will miss you!" this passed Sunday to one of our most dearest friends. Brian and Jennifer and their kids have been a BLESSING to our family and our Church. But with tears on our faces we had to say Goodbye to them. I had prayed (I know that many have prayed the same prayer) that they would stay here in Hawaii. But God and military had a different plan for them. I know that it is God's will that they had to go... But it is still so hard to say that Goodbye! I get teary eyed just typing this out.

This week I got to scrapbook almost every day, during the day and some nights till 3am. I was determined that I was going to get a scrapbook album done for them before they go. I should have started it along time ago, but I'm such a procrastinator and I work so much better under pressure... LOL :) I am done with Volume 1 and need to start on Volume 2 now. I'm so glad that God had helped me to finish the album. I prayed on Friday before I started working on some pages that He would help me finish as much as I could, that He would send some creativity and take this scrappers block away... and He did. He did it because He is an AWESOME God!!!!

I was able to present the book to them on Sunday night after our Church service. From their face expressions I think they LOVED it... :) that does good to my heart! Even thought I already miss them terribly!!!!

I thank God for giving us such great friends. Friends that are more than just friends they are family and I pray that we will see each other again.

I did not keep track of what I used. I was working as fast as I could between going to camp, taking care of the kids, house and so on and on. But I did use A LOT of swap sets. So if you see one that you did PLEASE claim it!!!! All of the sets are beautiful, Thank you to those that were in my swap groups!!!! It was so much faster to do this album having these swap sets, it would have taken me twice as longer to finish the album if I didn't have them. Anyways, if you see your set please PLEASE take full credit for it and Thank you for coming up with such a beautiful set!!! :)

My take on Lita's first Sketch....

I was at a friends house yesterday till about 1 am, I think... all I remember is that it was pass midnight when I was starting to pack up... The kids were tired they fall asleep right away in the car on our drive home.

But we had a lot of fun at Mrs. Ivy's house... :) She was scrapbooking away. I think she did about 2 or 3 (maybe more) two page spreads. While I forgot the projects that I was going to work on at home. But lucky me I grabbed some single photos off the table right before I left the house. So I decided to use those photos and do Lita's sketch sense I was planing on doing that anyways.

So here is my take on it. I did 2 layouts using Lita's sketch #1. You can find it here.

The first layout is of me and our oldest daughter when she was one year old.

I stamped the white accent peace with some swirl stamps all the way around.

Used:
Accent Essentials cartridge for the main accent on the page. Size 8 1/2 I think and then the shadow.

The second layout is of my dear niece and nephew. I miss these munchkins... :)

I raised the tops of the mushrooms by stamping another mushroom with another color and just cutting out the top part and then used some of the foam tape to raise them up. I LOVE the mushrooms, I so need to get that stamp set.

Card: "Baby Shower"

A dear friend of mine is having a baby in August. She is due with their third baby girl. She had asked me if I could do some cards for her for her baby shower. So I thought it would be a perfect gift to go through the mail. Seance she lives in North Carolina and I'm in Hawaii.... :)

So here is what I came up with!!! Lyuba I hope you'll like the cards. Wish we lived closer so I could attend your Baby Shower!!! May the Lord Bless you and your new baby girl!!! :) 3 girls are a lot of FUN!!!!!

I stamped the flowers on too the white card first then stamped the pink paper with a silver/brown pigment ink pad. The pink paper is embossed with some dots, got it like that from the craft store.

I didn't have enough of the pink paper so I used the left overs. But I still like the way it came out. This is what the card looks like with the smaller peace.

Beautiful wedding!!!! and "Just Married" sign!!!!

This was one of my last projects for the wedding that I was helping out with. I had a lot of fun doing it.

The wedding was June 27, 2009 and it was such a beautiful, personal and intimate wedding. No one had a dry eye in the room. It was just beautiful. You could just see God's presence in the wedding and the love that the groom and bride have for each other. I cried and laughed through the wedding ceremony and through the reception.

I just love these photos of them walking outside after the wedding ceremony.

And here is the sign that I did for their car. We (the Bride helped) used a foam board to attach all of these fun things too and then the groom attached it to the car.

10 "Thanks" cards....

While my sister was here I got to do some cards for her to use for her new business. I'll have to tell you all about her business one day. :)

My friend Ivy let me borrow two of her cricut cartridges "Mini Monograms" and "Pooh and Friends". I have to tell you that these cartridges are absolutely awesome. They have so many fun things on them. I just love them and they are on my list to get that's for sure... :)

So anyways here are the cards. They are simple not too elaborate cards. One day when I grow up I'll learn how to stamp and color stamped images the right way.

Used:
For these cards I used the "Mini Monograms" cart. I cut out scalloped circles and squares in all different sizes and the "Thanks" word was cut out in 1 inch size.

Flower stamps that I have.

Jewels, ribbon, some brown chalk and just other things here and there.

We are getting ready to go to our Church 4th of July picnic. Softball and Volleyball are on the game plan... and LOTS of good food... :)

Later we are planing on going to the beach with my sister and her husband and watch the fire works show. Hopefully there will be parking... :)

Mangoes, mangoes, mangoes....

The girls and I got to pick our first mangoes this season off of our mango tree today. I was so excited!!!!
We are having a lot less mangoes this year but still there's plenty to share with friends on the island. Wish we could mail them but we can't, because my parents would LOVE to have some.

Fresh mango off of a tree are so much better then from the store. I didn't used to like mangoes until I tried right off of a tree.... and YUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! It was so good!!!

Here are some pictures of the mangoes that we picked today. I think we got around 9.

These are really nice size. We do get some that are much bigger then this. Those are really cool. :)

Yummmm!!!! They are in the fridge right now waiting for tomorrows morning. :)

I can not wait to go to the airport and pick up my oldest sister and her husband tonight. :)

I cleaned the house yesterday. Washed everything that there was to clean. But I'm paying for it today. My body hurts.... My arms hurt from scrubbing... but my house is CLEAN! :) Woohoo!!!

Hoping to do some cards with my sister while she's here..... and go to the beach!!! :)

A very good friend of mine who is very creative and knows what she's doing in the computer area did the upgrades for my blog... :) I'm so not a computer person and I'm so excited to have a friend like Lita who can do things like this in a meter of a click of a button and from the side of the world, Australia that is. Cards, paper, cardholder box/purse......

This post is going to have a lot of pictures in it. So hopefully you'll stick around till the end and maybe get inspired in one way or another in your creative area. :)

I've been doing a lot of different projects this year. For the last 4 month I would say I have things going on, things that need to get done. And I love it. I love using my cricut. It's the best things I ever got. My husband is so awesome... :)

As I've mentioned in another post that I've been privileged to help out in a wedding. The last thing that I did for the bride were the name tags that I posted about a couple posts ago.

Today I wanted to show you what I did with the negative flower/swirl looking die cut from the name tags. You can fit 47 cuts (I believe) on the 12x12 sheet. The flower came from the Lyrical Letters cartridge. (I love this cartridge by the way.) After cutting out all those flowers out I looked at the left over 12x12 sheet of paper that had all of those flowers cut out from and I just couldn't throw it away. I thought there must be something that I could do with it. So here is what I did. I know this has been done before with so many other things. But still, I thought this was kind of cool and it just might give some one an idea that they haven't thought about yet.

I took that negative sheet put it on white card stock. Then took a sponge of any kind (anything will work really) dipped in to ink and then tabbed on the white that was showing through. You'll need to let the ink dry before using a different colors or you can just go and stamp right over while it's still wet and you'll get an image with multiple colors in it. Both look cool.

Here I used this cloth thing that gave me a streak like image on top of my flowers.

This is what my negative paper looks like now after using all kinds of colors on it. You can do so many things with just this one sheet. It really last you for a long time.

Take the negative paper that was used as your stencil carefully off of the white card stock and here is what you get. Beautiful print.

Here is what you get if you stamp right over the wet ink. Colors mix and kind of gives you a cool look.

I did 10 cards using the stenciled paper.

I added some stickles here on the stenciled flowers.

I also did a cardholder box/purse that holds up too 20 cards in it. Very easy to do. A friend of mine who is an SU demonstrator showed me this box. I used some CTMH stamps on top of the stenciled images just to add little extra. I also did a card that was left from that sheet of paper.

Don't know if you can see. But I did some dry embossing on this card. Trying new things.

Here is the whole bundle. I would like to give it to some one as a gift, just don't know who yet... :)

Baby Sara turns 2 years old today!!!!

I can't believe my baby is a two year old now. Where did the time go? She was just born and now she's walking around I mean running around telling people what they can and can not do. :) Yup, my little baby is a two year old. WOW!

Katherine, Leda and I started off our morning by singing a Happy Birthday song to Sara she was so excited. Then we had cereal for breakfast.....

I did a little video for our family and friends of Sara saying how old she is now....

One of our friends has a pool in their neighborhood so went to the pool to celebrate Sara's Birthday. We had 11 kids and 4 moms helping us celebrate her Birthday. It is always so fun to get together with girlfriends and the kids had a blast at the pool. Sara was scared of the water at first but by the time we had to go home you couldn't get her out of it. We had egg sandwiches, strawberries, grapes, pasta salad, some veggies and dip, chips and I'm sure I'm forgetting something for lunch. Our awesome friend Kristen made cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles, yummmmmmm.... Then Sara opened her gifts took her for ever to do that she sure loved the attention she was getting. LOL :)

Three sisters.... If you are able in anyway to get all of your kids to look at the camera all at the same time in order to take a nice picture PLEASE share your secret. Because it took 3 of us moms to get this picture taken.... LOL :) Some one was always looking some where else. Sara is still not looking at me but at list she has her eyes opened... LOL :)

Then there was the opening of the gifts. She got... a Mermaid Barbie that she is so thrilled about.... She's playing with it right now... :)

Sesame Street Abby Cadabby Building Set. She loves this as well.... So easy to put the peaces together for her.

And look at this beautiful dress. And it's in BROWN and PINK colors!!!! :) So cute... and our friend made a matching hair clip to go with the dress. Isn't that too cute! :)

A Bath basket. Now she has her very own bath towel and a hand towel. A new tooth brash, a bath sponge and some other fun things. :)

The kids climbed a tree while they were waiting to go swimming again after eating lunch. This is Katherine picking out from the top of the tree. She was standing on the branch and her head was above the tree. That was cool.

Name tags for a reception at the wedding.

I have been privileged to help out with wedding things for our friends from Church. The bride was also Katherine's Kindergarten teacher. We are all so excited and happy for her.

Here are the name tags that I did for her. They are going to go on the table for assigned sits, I think... :)

I didn't put names on the cards the bride will be doing that. But I had a lot of fun making these.

I used Accent Essentials cricut cartridge for my card shape. Lyrical Letters cartridge for the flower and the doves. The flower came from the "Thinking of you" button with the bird, hit the Jumbo button and then shift and you'll get the flower. For the doves you need to choose Italic Monoline then shift and hit the "Spring" button with a flower on it.

The black flower swirl is size 2 1/2 inches. And it fits 42 on a 12x12 paper. I'll post later what I did with the negative that was left from these flowers. The card is also 2 1/2 inches. The doves are 1 1/2 inches. I added some stickles on the doves to make them sparkle and inked the edges.

I adhered a thick strip of paper in the back for the tag to be able to stand on the table.

Another fun and easy project.... :)

The girls and sand crabs.... What a hoot..... :)

This past Thursday evening we spend with our friends at their vacation cabin at the beach. Katherine was at the camp so we just had Leda and Sara with us. They got to go hunt for some sand crabs and had so much fun.

It was way too funny to see them jump in the sand because of a crab. The face expressions they had when the crabs were trying to escape from their cups.... Priceless!!!!

Our friends son and his friend had gotten a bucket and got some crabs in there. I did a video of Chris and the girls looking at the crabs. The girls are trying to protect Chris from sticking his fingers in the bucket because the crabs would eat his fingers.... LOL :)

No crabs were harmed during the making of this video...

Leda was OK in case any of you are wondering. :) Sara was just waiving around that fly swapper thing, she was killing bugs earlier. Yeah, the things our kids get to do at the beach..... :)
